Conveniently located in the centre of Anuradhapura, Lolu Village Resort offers air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. This 3-star hotel offers room service. Very warm welcome from the staff and beautiful grounds and buildings. The room was spacious and clean as was the ensuite. The food was beautiful, we had curry and rice for dinner and a quaint English breakfast of toast, marmalade and eggs. The soft juices served on arrival and at breakfast would be enough to make me want to return.

Situated conveniently in the centre of Anuradhapura, Arachchi Heritage offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. By far the best accomodation we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel is actually more a villa with only few rooms available, which makes it very private and calm. Everything about this place is stunning and one feels that every detail was thoughtfully designed. The hosts Siri and Chathurika were very friendly and made our stay something really special. Siri even gave us a private tour through the temples and ruins of Anuradhapura. It was all topped off by the fantastic food they prepared for us. Staying at Arachchi was one of the highlights of our trip, and would come back to Sri Lanka just to stay some more days :) we cannot recommend this place enough!

I really enjoyed my two-night stay here. It was the most comfortable room of the trip thus far. I also made use of the bicycles which they make available at no cost to tour the ancient sites and see some of the lovely area around Anuradhapura. They also let me use the washing machine, which was very helpful. There’s a very good restaurant and coffee shop across the road. The staff were charming.

The building may be great, but the interior is nothing short of beautiful and cozy. We really liked the breakfast saloon and the terrace invites you to have a beer at the end of the day. The staff was really helpful give is directions for the walkers restaurant nearby and the buses we had to take the last day.

Nice hotel next to a water creek, a very relaxed atmosphere, kind and attentive host and personnel, delicious meals, comfy bed, hot water, AC worked perfectly, decent WiFi. It was 10 minutes by tuk-tuk to the city center and the Ancient City. Hasan was always checking if everything was okay, his wife and Hasan himself cooked delicious meals for me. Also, Hasan told me what to visit in the Ancient City, and arranged a safari and a day-trip to Polonnaruwa for me, which was very convenient.
