Whisky point is such a special place and I am so glad that I stayed here. The resort itself is beautiful and the perfect place to escape and disconnect. The staff are all amazing and very welcoming. As a solo female traveller I felt very at home and could have stayed much longer. The food is also delicious, from pasta to pizza and homemade banana bread! The first couple of days I was working remotely and I found it very comfortable with good wifi. After that I spent most of my time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the peaceful tranquility and good vibes. I 100% recommend.

From the moment we arrived, Ryan, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. His passion for the area and best restaurants completely transformed our trip. His genuine care and enthusiasm set the tone for the entire stay. Another standout was Deen, our tuk-tuk driver, who really made a difference in our visit. Every day, Deen greeted us with a warm smile and friendly conversation. His dedication to service was unmatched—whether it was taking us to local spots, recommending must-see sights, or giving us advice we didn’t even know we needed. He consistently went above and beyond, always ready with helpful suggestions and insights that truly enhanced our time in Arugam Bay. The staff at Surf Gangs were equally wonderful, treating us with the utmost care and attention. The rooms were meticulously cleaned daily and they happily accommodated our requests. Their attentiveness made us feel so welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. And of course, the location is unbeatable—just 50 meters from the beach, which made it incredibly easy to catch the perfect waves or simply enjoy the stunning ocean views. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay—if you’re looking for a genuine connection and exceptional service—Surf Gangs is the place to be. Highly recommended!

We stayed for a week during the off-season and our stay in Bay Vista was great! Staff is very helpful and friendly, the hotel is clean and well looked after. Their restaurant serves tasty breakfast and lunch/dinner. We used the breezy roof-top for training and yoga (there are no classes during off season) and had a very relaxing stay.

"I had an incredible stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The hostel has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere, which makes it so easy to meet other travelers. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed, and the shared spaces were always well-maintained. I loved the common areas—perfect for chilling out after a day of exploring. The location was fantastic, close to the beach and key attractions, making it super convenient to explore the area. Overall, this hostel exceeded my expectations. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, social, and affordable place.

Very comfortable place to stay in Aragum bay. The rooms are big and nice view with balcony - like amazing! Comfy beds. The air con works perfectly and the bathrooms are super clean. Breakfast also awesome, We choose Chocolate pancake, Strong Coffee and Fresh Mango juices (All are included the breakfast). This place exceeded my expectations. The room was located a quick 15 steps walk to the beach (beach front property) and walk either the road or the bay for all the restaurants, shops, bars etc. Internet was worked good and Value for the stay. Finally the team are friendly, welcoming and helpful. They helped to plan everything for my trips and surfing while I was there and their trusty tuk tuk driver. Everything you could hope for. I was super lazy- they made my life easy! Highly recommend and wishing this beautiful place a successful and bright future! Stay here- it’s truly unique.
