Quiet, cool and peaceful atmosphere was perfect setting for holiday and to unwind from normal routine. Food was fresh and tasty. Had many nearby places to visit- Mt Kenya National Park, Nanyuki, Nyeri Hill and Aberdare Ranges, just to mention a few that we managed to experience. The hotel has early morning walk, with numerous birds!!! The chirping of the birds was outstanding, something I have not heard in years. The guide takes you through the walk and knowns all the birds by name and chirp (voice so to speak) This is a perfect getaway with warm and friendly staff!!

I like the fact that it's pet friendly. kids enjoyed fishing in the pond and they actually caught some fishes. Staff were extremely friendly. What I appreciate most is the fact that tariff is correctly priced for the experience it offers, unlike few other hotels who are unreasonably priced.

We went through Sirimon path and went on the other side with chogoria path to see both sides (which we really advise as the scenery is very different). The owner has good recommendations of guides who can come to discuss the trip and pick you up for departure. Material is available (gloves, jacket, etc) and you can leave your own bags or bikes at the hotel. We really recommend asking for Martin as a guide - kind, attentive, discrete but eager to talk about the country if wished.

The location is at the heart of the city perfect for the main shopping street, also for the gate of Ol Pegeta Conservancy.
