This was perfect for our family who are all at different experience levels. Brendan and his whole crew are fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they always made us feel welcome. I was initially nervous about the shared toilets and showers but I didn’t have to be - every thing was kept clean at all times and I never felt that I needed to wait even when the lodge was at full capacity. Gear drying room was amazing, small details like inside slippers, loads of shared living space, hairdryers, entertainment room, make this place perfect for families. Brendan was kind enough to pick us up from Kurohime train station as Myokokogen station was snowed in, which we were so grateful for! The breakfast is listed as continental but was generous and varied, we ate dinner here most nights too.

We enjoyed the onsen, and were very close to the ski rental shop just a few minutes walk away. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming!!
