Läget var bra, svårt att hitta. Google Maps visar att boendet är i kumamoto castle, booking.com visade hela området. Det blev lite pill och knåp innan vi lyckades med att köra adressen på japanska in i Google Maps som vi fick en träff och kunde hitta rätt. Boendet i sig var väldigt enkelt, nu sov vi mer eller mindre bara där men det räckte gott och väl för oss.
Bra läge i Kumamoto centrum med gångavstånd till Kumamoto Castle. Sängarna var bekväma.
The staff can speak English. The lady there helped us call a car rental company and everything. She was very helpful and fast.
-Private onsen -Had a great time at the pool (if you do not book directly with the hotel, you need to pay 750 yen each, but definitely worth it). Went at night and had the whole pool to ourselves. Several different jet pools and a massive sauna with a tv inside! -Beautiful views of the national park outside our window -Huge room with western style beds and a lovely area with tatami mats
The very best Ryokan, I've ever stayed in. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. Room was super comfy with a private outdoor bath, very spacious. There were 10 private onsens to choose from, which required no reservation, and also public onsens situating indoor and outdoor to enjoy. The buffet breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding with a great variety, including beef yakiniku, steaks, free-flow beers, what a delicacy! Worth every Yen spent. There were also gashapons, claw machine games, table tennis to enjoy, and a small mini mart to shop from. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely with recommend this place, and will visit again, cheers!
The interior space is very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were excellent (good value). The staff was extremely friendly and warm. The location is nearby downtown area and Hitoyoshi station.
The private onsen was very nice. Hotel had good facilities like foot spa with a great view of Mt Aso. Dinner and breakfast was great and staff were friendly and able to speak english.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. When I was thinking about renting a bicycle overnight so I don't have to walk over to the rental shop every day, they offered to keep it in a safe place at night. Super helpful.

Great location, central to Minamata downtown. The staff was very nice, and there were small bath/skincare related items for female guests in the lobby.
The roasting marshmallow part was fun! My room can see the cherry blossoms on the street, and it’s wide and clean. The staffs are polite.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in OITA. The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
