Located only 200 metres from the Bled Lake, Garni Hotel Berc is surrounded by a garden and offers en-suite accommodation. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The location is super- just few minutes to the lake in a very quite place. Breakfast was rich and plentiful. We had a small porch which was very nice. The stuff was very helpful, kind and smiling. We would definitely recommend to book a room in this hotel

Bled is a good base for visiting other places like Vintgar Gorge, beekeeping museum and Julian Alps but also has plenty to do on its doorstep like the island, castle and lake walk. Boats and bikes available for hire.
Jesenice is an old industrial town and it still shows. There have been many improvements to the town and with a little more time I am sure it will be fine. Surrounding area is beautiful especially Bled and Bohine and the Julian Alps generally. It is also very easy to get to Italy and Tarvisio in particular as well as into Austria
A beautiful alpine setting and Autumn is a great time to visit as the colours were amazing. The lake is only 6km round and the paths are very easy so we walked and cycled round it. Worth hiring rowing boats ( we rowed ourselves) to get over to the island and ring the wishing bell in the church. Chilli restaurant was good for vegetarian/ vegan diets and the famous Bled cream cake is delicious ( we had it twice!). Worth making the trip to Vintgar Gorge and to Bohinj and the cable car up the mountain (but wait for a clear day to do this!). We could have stayed much longer to walk in the Julian Alps.
For me the best place in Europe. Out of all my journey in 26 countries across EU, this is the place I will go on any season without any reason. The walkway around the lake is the best place to for an evening or early morning walk. For the view point one need to climb a small mountain/hill which may take around 30-40 min. But it's worth climbing that. The scenic view from that place is really awesome. Lake with castle and the surrounding Julian alps backdrops are soothing for eye. From Bled one can also visit Vintgar and Lake Bohinj by bus. Bus shuttle has a proper schedule timing display and most of the buses comes on time. Keeping Bled as base with the help of mountain guide one can also visit Mount Triglav (highest point of Slovenija) and the seven lake trekking.
Bled is beautiful but a bit of a tourist trap. The island is 14 euros and a further 7 euros to go into the church, with only 40 minutes to spend on the island. Priority is given to groups on the boats which meant that as a solo traveller I had to wait for a long time -in the rain, even though there were spaces on the boats. Bled is a good base to explore the rest of the Julian Alps but for those looking for beautiful landscapes, Lake Bohinj is much quieter and incredibly beautiful.
Loved this little town - it was the chocolate festival with at least 200 stalls of various SLovenian chocolate manufacturers with very different flavours on some of them - olive oil, hempseed. It was a beautiful afternoon, there was an organ grinder in the square and a marquee with an oompah band with accordian, bassoon, other instruments and a singer, I could have listened to them for hours. Went to the gingerbread house and were impressed with the beautifully decorated gingerbread hearts, wish I could have bought some but not easily transportable. Enjoyed a meal of the local carniolan sausages and poteca cake, stayed in at a guesthouse with a garden overlooking a beautiful valley with postcard views, the Julian Alps in the background.

Went hiking in the Julian Alps which meant bohinj acted as a fantastic base to go from. Brilliant back drop and very cooling lake to do watersports. Very chilled atmosphere.
A beautiful place with fantastic views of the Julian Alps and so much to see. It was easy to get around, you can walk the whole way around the lake and it is flat and well paved making it accessible to all including wheelchairs and buggies. Plenty of places to eat and we didn't have any trouble finding food we liked. It's just a shame the lido was shut for the end of season when I visited.
We can imagine Bled as beautiful as it was 50 years ago, when there were no ugly concrete buildings spoiling the view over the Julian Alps. Way to0 overpriced, no nice place to have dinner, that is if you prefer a nice quieter place away from the main road. Expect bus loads of tourists, traffic jams... depends on what you expect from your holidays ofcourse but one night was too long for us...
Mojstrana
To tell you the truth, everything was even better than we expected. Everything in the apartment is new, clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and descret. Is such a quiet area. From the balcony we enjoyed the mountain view and in the night you can see the stars, that's cause the place is a little secluded from the city lights. We went to Mojstrana for a winter ascent on Triglav peak. We totally enjoyed our stay at the rozle apartment and we'll come back there every time we will visit the Julian Alps!
Bovec
I'm from Romania, and between July 22-26 was my first vacation in Slovenia and the Julian Alps. I chose the location as it is close to Bovec (locality from where I can easily reach many of Slovenia's attractions). I really liked the tranquility of Relax House, the kindness of the host and the beautiful place (near the Soca river) where the location is located. I've never experienced such a good communication from any host. I was satisfied with all the information from timeline and content point of view in a way that host womans was abroad. Big thank you for her! Apartment is situated in the heart of Mojstrana. Perfect location to visit Vrata or Krma valleys without car, gate into Julian Alps. We used both standalone apartments, arrangement was proper for solo people and couples as well. Mojstrana is a pretty, fascinating city lying under the Julian Alps.

We truely loved it here!! Vesna is the best host ever, we frequently got fresh vegetables out of her garden, food or wine. She is very nice and gives great tips for places to visit. The location is perfect, we hiked a lot in the surrounding and in the beautiful Julian Alps, which you have a beautiful view of from the apartment. The apartment is very clean and neat and Vesna has a nice place to sit outside. We thought the place was too good to be true and it was just that!
I liked food, even dinner which we have extra. Location is the best for visiting attraction like Vogel and waterfall Savica and near to Bled for visiting. Bohinj lake is great for round walk and hotel location is near. Room is great organized and has so beautiful view with Julian Alps (Triglav). Also, room has mini bar and room service (extra pay). We liked the 2 hours of spa enjoyment that is included in price.

Amazing apartment at an amazing location. Host was very friendly and helpful. Very well equipped, large and clean apartment. Truly a unique experience, much more relaxed than staying in Kranjska Gora, with all the benefits but less noise/tourists. The apartment had a large balcony with an amazing view of the Julian Alps. 10/10 stay, I would gladly recommend this place to all friends and family

Very good hostel directly in the Julian Alps close to the Triglav mountain. We had a double room which was spaceous and clean. The beds were comfy. Nice new bathroom with big shower. You can park for free, when you get one of the few parking spaces :-) Very cute style, everything is made out of wood. The kitchen was well equipped. Friendly owners & good price, overall recommendable.

The property itself features a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for a group to enjoy. It is easily walkable to restaurants but we drove just to be able to explore the town a bit. We were served an excellent breakfast in the small dining room. The Soca River is amazing with clear turquoise water. We loved the Julian Alps drive!

Very nice apartment on two levels. Perfectly equipped kitchen. A wonderful balcony with the view on the Mojstrovka. Very friendly host: Karmen gave us a lot of useful information and helped us with all details. The location is the best to enjoy Julian Alps on both sides of the Italian-Slovenian border, with the capital city Lubiana at one hour drive.

The apartment is in the old town of Tolmin, just 200 m from the Busstop. It is beautiful, ckean, well equipped and has a nice balcony. Everything was smoothly organized. Communication with the landlady via messaging was friendly and efficient. Tolmin was a good starting point for hiking in the beautiful Julian Alps.

Great localization to visit the Julian Alps. Short drive to Bled, Vrsic pass and all the attractions (you are basically in the middle). The apartment is as per the photos. It has all needed equipment, but at the same time you feel like in an mountain hut.
