Conveniently set in the Ein Karem district of Jerusalem, Khan Ein Karem Boutique Hotel is situated 10 km from Western Wall, 10 km from Garden of Gethsemane and 10 km from Church of All Nations. The location was ideal to visit most of the sites on our itinerary. The property itself was recently renovated in a consistent fashion with matching hardware, practical and thoughtful furnishings, comfortable mattresses and pillows, etc. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and the hot water in the shower and sink was readily available. The property owners, Tomer and Roy, were the ultimate hosts. The wonderful daily breakfasts served was breathtaking. From the fruit bowls with yogurt, fresh cut salads, delicious baked breads, cream cheese and smoked salmon, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, and much more. The overall atmosphere of the property was warm, comfortable, and relaxing.

Set just 450 metres from the Damascus Gate, Jerusalem Hotel is an elegant 19th-century Arabic mansion. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free high-speed Wi-Fi, plus a garden, bar and restaurant. What a treasure! We definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again if we return to Jerusalem. The thing that impressed us the most was the friendly, professional and careful service. We were welcomed with warm hospitality. Someone went with my husband to park our car in a nearby lot. The rooms were fabulous-- stone walls and antique furniture. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom had nice shampoo, lotion etc and a powerful, hot shower. We enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner in the restaurant and generous breakfast the following morning. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Garden Tomb and the old city of Jerusalem (Damascus gate). We were a group of 6 people (3 rooms) and everyone was fully satisfied!

This hotel has been our home away from home in Jerusalem for years now, and it never disappoints! It's located in a quiet area, with a public (and free) parking lot just a couple of minutes on foot from the hotel; I'd suggest to have a car, because while there are a few restaurants nearby, if you want to go to Jerusalem city centre it's the best way. A big bonus of this hotel is the garden, an oasis of calm, beautiful in every season. The services and amenities are excellent and the staff goes out of their way to make guests feel home (thank you so much, we really feel part of the Alegra family!). Our favourite room is in the main building, with direct access to the garden (and when possible, the hotel accomodates our special request, like they did this time), but I can assure you that also the rooms in the building right opposite the street have the same beauty, unique style and another little garden (but guests are always welcome to come to the main building to enjoy the garden and the dining room/coffee corner). I highly recommend, at least one morning during your stay, to indulge in the rich, fresh and absolutely delicious breakfast (Israeli, with salad, bread, cheese, eggs, shakshuka... but you'll also find something if you prefer a sweet treat to start your day) - and the dining room is stunning and full of light, too!
