The location is a guit place for relaxation on the shores of the Dead Sea - in 5 mins drive (by car/bus) from the best luxury free beach zone of Ein Bookek ( you only pay parking 5 shekel per hour. You have cald drinking water, free showers) The self cattering accomodation with a very friendly and helful host- Eayl, who works so hard and is always around if you need any help. The property offers A/C spotless rooms with fridge, TV, free WI-FI, private garden, bazic kitchen facilities, or you can enjoy breakfast at the nearest caffe located 3.1 miles from the property. Plenty buses to Jerusalem, Eilat, Tel-Aviv. Massada is a 15 mins drive away.
Perfect place and hospitality on the shore of the Dead Sea... Food healthy and fabulous... Rooms clean with spectacular views. Staff Friendly and helpful... Plan on staying a few days...
Rooms were... interesting. Just trailers and huts and tents scattered across the bluff. We were going to be masochistic and hike masada for sunrise but this place saved us the effort. Sunrise is amazing from the hostel. Enjoy the sunrise then hit masada when it opens at 8. Bring food with you because it is very hard to find food at the Dead Sea. Breakfast here was nice. And included. Dinner was 80 NIS per person so we opted to eat the food we brought as did many other guests.
Floating in the dead sea is an amazing experience. The Masada is worth a visit. Maybe go first thing in the morning, swim in the dead sea in the afternoon...it was amazing. There is nothing to do after sunset. The pools and beach close. and almost no restaurant options besides MacDonalds 🖓or buffets. The usual area clients seem to be senior citizens. Be prepared to either watch a movie in your hotel room, browse shops selling dead sea products or I would recommend driving on to Eilat or back to Jerusalem.
Located in a complex of hotels and shops and restaurants by the Dead Sea! Just 20 Minutes from Masada, Ein Gedi and the Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found amongst other places of interest and Ancient History!
It’s a really small stretch where the hotels are located at the shore or close to the Dead Sea. Don’t expect much from the local restaurants, maybe gastro :( i have experience with two hotels in Ein Bokek and the Restaurants were pleasant. The recently developed beaches have added a resort feel to the area, I’m not sure what solutions they will come up with for the muddy red gravel on the beaches because it can get a little messy. There are shaded areas, I haven’t noticed any natural mud sourced from the area, but the shops in the area do sell Dead Sea mud at reasonable prices. All in all a really great place to come for a relaxing healing weekend.
Ein Bokek is the first option for travelers from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and Masada site. There are some other places to stay around this part of the Dead Sea but you will find there are no public beaches around or no stores and restaurants to eat in. The owners of restaurants and stores in Ein Bokek are aware of this and that is why they charge double of Tel Aviv prices. For example, the cheapest beer we found was for 9 Shekels for one can if you bought five of them. In Tel Aviv we bought a beer can for 5 Shekels. The same is in the restaurants- there are not many of them and you pay at least 60 Shekels for a main meal while in both Tel Aviv or Jerusalem you can have a meal for 25 Shekels. For this reason, your will find most tourists to be older couples from Russia. We did not see many young independent travelers around because there are practically no hostels or cheaper hotels in this resort. Although we traveled to Ein Bokek in November there were still lots of tourists- I cannot imagine how this place looks like in the summer. Beaches in Ein Bokek are clean with lots of public toilets and showers around. The place is really nice for relaxing but if you are an active person I would not recommend to stay more than two days as we did as there is practically nothing to do in the town. The only interesting place around is Masada which is worth for at least a half-day trip. There is a public bus for 14.5 Shekels from Ein Bokek which takes you to the bottom of the mountain from where you can walk up or use a cable car.
Great resort area. Plenty of hotels, a few shops for essentials and a lovely Tak Mahal restaurant (Rabic food not Indian). Buy mineral mud for your body and wash it off in dead sea. It was 15 NIS and we used one sachet for 2 of us!
Very nice place to have a break from the winter in Europe. The comfort of the SPA combined with the beauty of the botanical garden and with the option for some small tours in Wadi Aghurot and Wadi David sounds like a perfect plan for a short holiday. Visiting the Dead Sea is a one time life experience.
Need only 1-2 days here. It’s boring and unless you like laying in the Dead Sea in 100 degree heat for hours on end, I would stay away. Very few restaurant choices outside of hotel, also.
Neʼot HaKikar
Noam and his wife were awesome. Place is clean, safe and quite near Dead sea. There is everything you need. If you got any problems on your trip Noam will quide. They are so lovely and helpful. I got good information for my trip to Jerusalem. By the way, never in any accommodation no one has ever asked how the rest of my trip went and is everything good. I were waiting flight to home and got message from their place. Exeptionally awesome people! ♥️ If I come back to Israel, I'm gonna go there even just to say Hi.
At first we were a bit hesitant to stay at westbank North part of the Dead Sea, considering the sensitive nature of the area. However, this place happened to be a hidden gem. It was not only safe, but we were also rewarded with an amazing view to the death sea and a unique experience inside Ovnat village. The host, a lovely Israely family, was very helpful with our stay, give tips in every way possible. At our arrival we had some beer and snacks in a spotless clean place, welcomed by amazing weather. Highly recommended.
Ein Gedi
Exceptional - in the Botanical Garden in the Kibbuz, lovely apartment, lovely owner who even washed our clothes when I asked if I could use his washing machine. The whole Kibbuz and the "Zimmer" are a haven, an oasis. We decided immediately we will come and stay again if we will head to the Dead Sea next time when we fly to Israel. It was one of the highlights of our trip to stay here (and memories of my time as a volunteer in a Northern Kibbuz at the lake of Galilee came back at once ;-)).
The Ein Gedi Kibbuz Hotel is located in a truly awesome botanical garden on a hill side overlooking the Dead Sea. Breakfast and dinner are served in a central facility close to the main building of the hotel. Excellent food selection for both breakfast and dinner (150 NIS/person). From the hotel, several hikes in the nearby Wadis are within reach (the parking lot for Wadi Arugot NP can be seen from the hotel promenade toward the northwest).
Hotel is right on the beach, actually with it's own beach. The pool area is great as well. We got an opgrade for free which meant we got a room on the top floor faacing the Dead Sea. All rooms face the Dead Sea. Breajfast is amazing. There is so much to chose from. Dinner likewise absolutely excellent. I will defintely go back. We felt so welcome. Staff and manager extremwly nice. Thank you for a great stay.
Neve Zohar
First and foremost: Nadja! She is a treasure. She took great care of us, even before the stay, explained everything there was to know to prepare our trip and enjoy our time at the dead sea to the fullest. The apartment itself was clean, cozy and had everything one could ask for. The perfect place to come down, slow down and simmer in the exasperating desert-heat, without abstaining from any conveniences.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpfull, especially Shlomit, who is paying attention to every detail. We got everything we required, from an upgrade for the room to information related to transportation in Israel. We liked the food, the clean room, the swimming pool, the animation team. The hotel is right on the beach, a private beach where you can enjoy the wonderful Dead Sea.
Neve Zohar
Great spotless apartment, very friendly and welcoming hosts. A request we had was taken care of within minutes. This is a lovely place to stay at the Dead Sea and a great alternative to Ein Bokek hotels. Preferably for travellers by car - for the next beach facilities you need a small ride direction Ein Bokek. You can see how the area is developing - this looks really promising for the future.
Ein Bokek
Good location, next to Masada. If you want to see sunrise at Masada , this hotel will be your best choice. Also not far from Dead Sea as well !! Staff is friendly ! Compared with other hotels in Israel , this hotel price is reasonable and super clean. Breakfast is great too . If I come back to Dead Sea next time , I definitely will stay at this hotel again.
Location is great, across the street from the South Dead Sea. Lots of nice touches like extra towels and heart-shaped chocolates. Hotel facilities are shining and attractive. Warm indoor salt pool is fun. Several food options at each meal, and extra options at Shabbat, though otherwise these options don’t vary. Food is buffet style and well laid out.
Neve Zohar
Close to the dead sea within walking distance to the closest maintained beach - 10 mins walk along the dead sea. You can't really use the beach right next to the home, as there are no facilities and it is not maintained. 10 mins drive to the nicer beaches of Ein Bokek, where there are restaurants. Beach towels provided.
Breakfast was plentiful but mostly mediocre. Coffee machine did not work. Best feature: package of 2 body creams and a mudbath given as we went to the Dead Sea. Hotel has access to soak in Herrod’s Hotel’s warmed salt pools. Crowded but a good way to experience buoyancy when it’s too cold outside.
This was our first stay here, and we were truly impressed by the breathtaking views of the Dead Sea from our room and the hotel's beautiful surroundings. A special mention goes to Muzhar, whose perfect attitude and exceptional hospitality made our visit memorable.
Neve Zohar
The apartment is tastefully designed and there is some beautiful pottery available for use. It is close to the public beaches, the Dead Sea Mall in Ein-Bokek and all the Dead Sea attractions. We really enjoyed the visit to Moshe Novomeisky Visitors Center!
This hotel is beautiful - the view from our room was across the pool and its gardens to the Dead Sea and the hills of Jordan beyond. We opted for a bonus offer which included a private lounge with food and drinks on tap. This was wonderful.
I have visited David Dead Sea Hotel many times over the past decade, but it is still not improving in specific areas such as hospitality. The only reason I would come to this hotel is for its spa facilities and treatments, and for the food.
Everything , the food the room the pool the location the staff everything was perfect best hotel in dead sea for couples , we also got a room with private pool sea view for the same price of other hotels standard rooms highly recommended
Best hotel in the Israel side of the Dead Sea, definitely It's not cheap, but worth it Amazing location, the best beach, not crowded. The amount of salt in water close to the hotel is higher than in other areas. Enjoy
This is one of the best resort on the Dead Sea in Israel, location is really great, near the super salted lake on the bottom as of 417 meter under sea level. Pool is 5 stars. Breakfast is 5 stars. Great and short vacation!
Neve Zohar
Apartment was very nice, great view of the Dead Sea and close to a hiking trail where we woke up and saw the sunrise. Very easy to take public transportation to ein bokek for better beaches and hotels and restaurants.
