We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boutique Hotel Porto - We had a room with a balcony and there was plenty of space in the room, the bed was comfortable, food was good. The staff were amazing, so amazing in fact that when I left a precious item at Dubrovnik airport and was wondering how I would get it back to Australia I contacted the hotel and they immediately took control and coordinated the entire process to get it back to me. I was blown away by their kindness. The location was great, nice restaurants close by, close to the port and there was a local bus stop almost next door which easily got us into Old Town.

Breakfast was incredible...huge choice. Off-street safe parking too. Loved our stay.

The location is a 15 minutes walk from the old town, but that comes with peace and quite. Rooms are squeeky clean, very well equipped and I very much appreciate the small details such as great quality personal care items in the bathroom, sweets on the table, etc. The pool on the roof is amazing, water temperature was perfect even on November 1st, the view is superb, and they also serve great cocktails in the pool bar. We couldn't wait for the breakfast time - everything we tried was fresh and super tasty. I also haven't met a nicer staff than in this hotel for a long time, helpful and very professional.

There are to sides to this little on-the-road-by-the-sea village with villas and resorts for all kinds of buck. The old village with the church and the agricultural focus is located on the hilly slope above the lower Podstrana where the tourists go for stay by the sea. This area is developed, but basically a resident area. The old Podstrana seems like a village with focus on grazing the sheep or cattle. No noteworthy sightseeing area, but the view from the old upper Podstrana is amazing and well worth a trip. You may even walk up to the hillcrest to get even more view. Of course, the proximity of Podstrana to Split is one of the major attractions, as the village before was just another drive-through Dalmatian village.
Very nice old town and urban beaches. Also some nice restauranats( Particularly Pet Bunara). Great base for exploring northern Dalmatia.
Vi har vært i Split flere ganger, det er en by vi ønsker å komme tilbake til. Split er ypperlig både for å besøke historiske by, bade og shoppe på samme sted. Gamlebyen og Diocletians palass er historisk grunn og del av vår verdensarv. Det er bilfritt og overkommelig i størrelse. I juli og august er det svært mange turister, men likevel enkelt å finne overnatting og spisesteder. Vår vert anbefalte oss restauranten No Stress i gamlebyen. Vi spiste der flere ganger, og var godt fornøyd. Det er nok en fordel å høre på hva servitøren har å anbefale, På vestsiden av Split ligger ei halvøy med Marjan-parken. Det er fine spaserveier både oppe i høyden eller rundt langs kysten. Mange muligheter for å ta et bad. Beste badeplassen er Kasjuni. Dersom du ikke orker å gå rundt hele Marjan, så går det buss fra Bene Beach til kirka Sv. Frane i gamlebyen. Ellers er Split et knutepunkt for reiser både til lands og på sjøen. Samme hvor du skal i Dalmatia, så må du innom Split.
