Tai O Inn, by the Sea enjoys a location in Hong Kong, 4.4 miles from Tian Tan Buddha and 15 miles from Citygate Outlets. Very nice hostel with only three rooms and roof top terrace. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay. The furniture and decoration was very tasteful. We had a fridge in the room, bottled water and slippers were available for the guests. The check in info was given via WhatsApp so it was always possible to communicate with the reception and to check in online. The info was so comprehensive we didn’t have any problems finding the place.

Our stay here has been really great. Michael is a lovely host. We were welcomed with a delicious dinner which completely blew us over. The kids still miss the bread which was baked for us. The connectivity is good and we used buses for commuting everywhere. Michael is very helpful and even called a cab for us back to the airport.

City Oasis Guest house is located at a small village in the outskirts of Tung Chung on Lantau Island. It features free WiFi throughout the property. The location was fantastic for hiking on one of HK’s off-the-beaten track islands. Larry, the guesthouse owner, was extraordinarily kind, warm, and proactive in helping me get the most out of my one day/night on the island, giving detailed instructions on how to get around the island by bus, etc. This made my visit so much more pleasurable than I would have had at a larger chain hotel, even one with fancier amenities.

First class service, we were assisted with our transfer to the airport as we are dependent on a wheelchair due to an accident during vacation. The hotel even organiszed that someone will bring us to the check in area.
