EL PICNIC ATITLÁN has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Tzununá. Built in 2019, the property is within 35 km of Volcano Atitlan. Guests can enjoy mountain views. I don't know if I liked the view from the bed more or the view at breakfast, I will definitely never forget these views. I don't think you can get tired of them. There are small shops nearby, the route from the harbor to the accommodation is also manageable on foot (approx. 10 minutes), otherwise tuk-tuks are available for transportation. Village itself doesn't offer you much, but you can walk in 45 minutes to the nearby San Marcos La Laguna, where more life is available. The accommodation is wonderful, we slept with the tent open the entire time. I also recommend the dinner cooked by the owner, it is excellent. There is also an additional bar next to the accommodation where you can eat and drink during the day.

The concierge Marvin was the most wonderful host. He provided amazing service from check in to check out. When we had an issue at check in he took charge and helped us fix it. He remembered our names, and when my sister told him about an allergy, the staff prepared a special meal for her.

Don't miss the typical guatemaltecan Sauna! I'm vegetarian and their chef really cooked with wonderfal spices an ideas. The room was marvellous, spacious, with a hammock- terrace with direct view over the lake and to the volcanoes. Would have stayed mach longer if I could... a good place to forget time. And last but absolutely not least: everyone working there was family-like wonderful... thanks so much.

Offering an outdoor pool and a hydro-massage hot tub, Tzampoc Resort is located in Santa Catarina Palopó. Beautiful views, breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely helpful. Extra thank you to Christian and Darwin for all your help. Our room was so spacious and clean with incredible views, we were given a free upgrade which we really appreciated ! The food in the restaurant was exemplary and the cocktails delicious!

Mario and his staff were outstanding. They were attentive, caring and trust worthy. They made us feel as if we were guests in their private home. The secluded location and view of the lake/volcanos were spectacular and the large fluffy pool towels for cool evening dips into the jacuzzi were a bonus.
