St.Andrews er en meget hyggelig landsby, full av restauranter, puber, kultur og historieopplevelser, samt et omland med fantastiske turmuligheter. Byen er et mekka for golfere, men fantastisk også for alle som er glad i frisk luft, lange turer i kystlandskap, førsteklasses sjømat, og nå også eget whiskydestilleri. Ta også turen innom St.Andrews Castle & Cathedral (ruinene av skottlands største katedral) og St.Salvators Chapel, middelalderhistorie av stort format.
Veldig koselig og idyllisk liten småby i Skottland. Mye å se på i nærheten og mye å gjøre for de som liker både gamle slott, hager, kirker , ruiner, fiske , turer på sykkel og beina. Men husk å avtale/bestille bord til middag på eget hotell eller andre steder i Melrose i god tid samme dag - du kan ha problemer med at det blir fort fullt i sommersesongen. Melrose kan veldig anbefales!
Var ikke så mye i Hurlford faktisk siden jeg kjørte land og strand rundt men når jeg var tilbake så var det fredfylt og stille og noe jeg trengte etter en hektisk dag.Hadde leiebil så var ikke så vanskelig og komme fra sted til sted.Hvis du reiser alene så anbefaler jeg leiebil....litt research om skottland,historiske plasser m.m.Det vil ikke gå en dag hvor du ikke vet hva du skal gjøre.
Aberdeen er en by som har det meste. Der finner du fantastiske shoppingmuligheter, avslapping når du behøver å trekke deg litt tilbake. Opplev de flotte skotske pubene. Nyt fantastisk god mat i de flotte restaurantene. En tur til ett av Skottlands mange whisky-destilirier er absolutt å anbefale. Det er lett å orientere seg i Aberdeen. Veldig billig å ta taxi der
Noe for enhver smak, nærheten til byen og stranden er en flott kombinasjon. Gode tog forbindelser til andre byer i Skottland.
Fin liten by, spesielt for de som er toginteresserte. Ruta Glasgow-Fort William-Mallaig er Skottlands flotteste, blant annet med passering av Glenfinnan viaduct, Harry Potter-brua. Det går også damplok Fort William-Mallaig.
Slains new castle i Cruden Bay anbefales på det sterkeste. Helt herlig natur rundt ruiner fra et stort slott. Her skal jeg så absolutt tilbake når jeg har med kameraet mitt Coast to coast sine frokost pannekaker anbefales på det sterkeste! Hører til på union square senteret. Veldig mye å se i sentrum, greit å komme seg rundt med buss om man skal andre steder. Veldig spennende å gå rundt og se på bygningene og hvor forskjellig alt er i Skottland. Pluss det meste er så billig!
Stirling er en vakker by i hjertet av det historiske Skottland. Her er det fint å bare spasere på egen hånd eller ta en guidet tur. Stirling Castle er fantastisk, og en dyktig guide kan gi en god innføring i skotsk historie her. Det er flere koselige spisesteder like i nærheten.
Personalet var veldig serviceinnstilt, hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Selve hotellet var hyggelig og hadde en god atmosfære. Det ga oss som turister en fin følelse av å være i Skottland. Det var kort å gå til trikken som tok en kjapt til sentrum og severdighetene.
The staff were friendly, and the room was beyond comfortable
The staff were so amazing - answering our many questions. The property is delightful with beautiful extended riverside frontage. We enjoyed many amazing walks during our stay. Dinner is not to be missed neither is breakfast. We had an a 'la carte menu included in our stay, but the comprehensive buffet was more than adequate! Parking was easy and plentiful. Thank you so much for having us - we wish we could have stayed longer.

The room was great and comfortable. Breakfast was included. There was a restaurant as well as a bar. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had to stay an extra night which they had no problem accommodating us. There was a pool, steam room, sauna. Town was close and you could have even walked. There are trails and so much more.

En vidunderlig hage med dam og nydelig utsikt til kirke. Frokosten er et kapittel for seg selv. Delikat meny, servering til bordet og med utsikt til hagen. Stedet er en perfekt oase. Jeg skal tilbake til dette hotellet som ligger flott til nære slott og inngangen til Cairngorms nasjonalpark. Anbefales på det varmeste.
