We thought we would have 2 bedrooms but instead had a hide a bed in the living room. There was a communication issue and we did not have bedding for the hide a bed though that was remedied.....The kitchen was great and there was a washer, though no drier. The wood burning stove was a delight as we had a very rainy, cold windy night and it warmed the house quickly. The owner has a 2 bedroom cottage across the street and we would book that next time. This cottage is perfect for a couple, not great for two friends traveling together.

We tremendously enjoyed staying at the Old Post Office, which is most likely the cleanest, the coziest and by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed at. We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). It was nice to see these businesses being supported this way. I liked the different scents in the rooms. The accommodation was really really comfortable. I honestly did not want to leave. The outdoor space was great for enjoying the sunsets and dark skies. The location is ideal for exploring Uist, Lewis, boat trips and the whole of Harris. Lots of garden birds in the garden enjoying having baths in the burn (I watched them from the stone seat).Excellent local shop just 1 minute down road.
