Hotel de France is housed in a former coaching inn and is located on the edge of Mende’s town centre. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Mende Cathedral. We had one of the best dinners ever!! Great restaurant !

The couvent is truly elegant, beautifully decorated and filled with artworks. Our room was spacious, in a minimalist style, with a beautiful, large bathroom with free standing bathtub. Our breakfast was enjoyable, and the staff very friendly. Town was a short walk over the river, and we were a short drive from the famous Millau Viaduct (bridge). We wouldn’t hesitate to come back!!!

L’Arbre à Pain Hotel is situated in Altier, a mountainous, calm area, 7 km from Villefort Lake. The hotel rooms are equipped with a TV, bathroom, seating area and balcony. An amazing find. I was cycling the St Malo to Nice route (France en Velo) and Altier proved a perfect stop on the way. The owners and staff could not have been more friendly. My bike was safe and the room very generously proportioned. The food was amazing, sourcing local products while being great value. This was my favourite stop of the entire trip.

Logis Hôtel Restaurant Le Pradinas is situated within the Cévennes National Park. The building dates from the 18th century and is a former a silk worm farm. We were welcomed by the delightful host who could not have been kinder. We were late arrivals but host still allowed us to have a quick dip in the pool and booked us in for supper. It was such a tonic for the first night of our holiday. Food was excellent. Accommodation was exceptional. We travelled with our teenage daughter and were given a room with a mezzanine floor so our +1 had her own space. Breakfast was also a joy, self service and catered for all our needs including homemade jams and confitures.

This hotel is located a 5-minute drive from Anduze, overlooking the Gardon Valley. It offers a heated swimming pool and terrace with panoramic views of the valley. We had stayed at La Porte des Cevennes before and it was even better than we remembered. The location is great, with amazing views from our room and the panoramic lounge. The indoor pool was superb. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Loved 'Croquette' the cat! The food at dinner was exceptional! Every mouthful was delicious. We definitely aim to return one day.

Hôtel de la Muse et du Rozier is located in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn. It is the ideal place for relaxing holidays in the heart of nature. They had everything we needed and the staff were very pleasant. The terrace and grounds looked lovely but it was raining so we couldn’t take advantage of it. The breakfast was excellent.
