Saint-Gilles
Our hosts were very kind and helpful; a very lovely couple. We enjoyed the spacious, extremely clean and well equipped apartment (the washing machine was welcome!) and swim in the sparkling pool set in their large garden. Staying there felt a real and enjoyable experience sharing the home (albeit in a separate and private apartment) of a Camargue family away from the tourist veneer. Being on bicycles it was a safe haven for our gear, much better than a hotel room in town.
Jaw dropping view over the Camargue waterways from our quirky gypsy caravan, and the proximity of local birds and wildlife, ie just outside the door! Super friendly, wonderful staff including Cesar the dog! Relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Stunning sunsets across the waterways . Mosquitoes are prevalent here as everywhere in the Camargue, not a problem for us as we brought a decent 50% deet repellent, we weren’t bitten once. Very sad to leave here!
Le Grau-du-Roi
The parking next to the apartment. Swimming pool nearby, open til 19.00. Very quite place, we had a terrace with a drying rack to dry our swimming suits easily. Wi Fi works perfectly. The reception gave us all instruction, so that we easy checked in after 19.00. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the Camargue area, as we knew. At night you can sleep with the blinds down and the window open and it's not hot. Also we had a fen ventilation.
Beautiful hotel calmly located at the beginning of town in Saintes Maries de la Mer. Very nice and spacious rooms with a little terrace in front of each. Great pool area and very friendly staff. The city center of Saintes Maries is a short footwalk (7-10min) away, all beaches are easily reachable by foot and the ornithological park camargue can be reached in a 3min car drive from the hotel.
What a fantastic experience. We intended to stay 6 days but we cancelled our next hotel and stayed 14 days in Novotel la grande Motte Golf. Super friendly and helpfull staff,clean and quiet rooms,good breakfast and the swimming pool was the highlight for our 4-5 year old daughter We were not familiar with the Camargue region but discovered so many things in the region. we loved everything about this hotel. very comfortable beds, the pool is amazing and the owners are super welcoming and helpful. we loved the aperitif by the pool in the evening with beautifully arranged specialties from the Camargue. if we’re back in the area we‘ll definitely return to L‘auberge Camarguaise
The hotel is a family-run charming Hotel just outside of Stes Maries de la Mer. The Pool area is very nice, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was good too, and we likeed the terrace in the evening facing the Camargue, this was very nice. Basically everything outside the room was great.
Nice apartment with everything you need for a few days' visit to the Camargue. Comfortable bed, good A/C, well appointed kitchen, big terrace. No parking on the street in front, but a huge free public parking lot a few minutes away. Very close to an excellent patisserie. :)

A very nice, clean and comfortable apartment with all amenities. Spacious and well equipped - all two people need for a short holiday! Beautiful and calm environment. I recommend this property to those travelling in a car and staying for at least a week to enjoy the Camargue.
Excellent location for our interest in wildlife of the Camargue. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was mostly of a good standard although they might have offered a few more healthier food options. Loved the ducks on the pond!
Staff was very welcoming and helpful - this hotel is really well well decorated and you really enjoy the Camargue way of life. The pool is great - and you can do horse ridding right on property! Loved it
