Lovely traditional auberge in a small town very convenient to stop over en route too or from Calais. We stayed in the annexe in a very large spotlessly clean studio which looked recently created. Large comfortable bed which was a proper double not two singles stuck together. Stylish modern decor. View of the river. Small but good shower room with an excellent waterfall shower. The kitchen was well equipped and we could have prepared a full meal if we had been staying longer. Didier was an excellent host.
Hotel in the small village of Clairvaux close to the Abbey of Clairvaux founded by St. Bernard. It is 5 to 10 minutes walk to the abbey and about 2 km to St. Bernard fountain in the woods. There is a bus stop where I came from the train station of Bar-sur-Aube and departed to Chaumont. The hotel has its own restaurant where I had dinner with very good food and nice staff. The room was good and quiet. Wifi good.

Our stay was a true 'champagne' experience in so many respects. This is a gem of a hotel, centrally-located in Bar-sur-Aube. A complimentary glass of their own champagne on arrival and an included bottle in the room were nice surprises, as was the cost of a night's stay.

Location and well-organised room
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town centre..... a perfect location for visiting the town of Troyes.
We were hiking on the Via Francigena. The hotel was very close to the trail which was why we chose it. The staff was very nice and accomodating. Bonus: We had an excellent meal at their restaurant - highly recommended. Breakfast was also outstanding. They also have a nice garden to stroll through. We were well rested, fed, and ready for the next leg of our hike.

Super location in centre of troyes yet offers secure underground parking ideal if you have a car full of wine etc! Plenty of super restaurants nearby. Very good breakfast and super comfortable beds! Our 6th visit .

Excellent dinner at the Brasserie. Slight initial delay in service, but once in gear the waitress service was exemplary. Breakfast was very good and far better value than our previous hotel stopover
We were very late for check-in, but because the staff was very flexible and thought in solutions, we could pick up our key in an alternative way and enjoy our stay! We slept with three in a "pipo wagon" which was very doable in the period of October. I would recommend the location to everyone. We could not use all facilities because we only stayed one night here.
