Attractively situated in the Kallio district of Helsinki, Citybox Helsinki is situated 1.4 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.6 km from Helsinki Central Station and 1.7 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The hotel could not be better located for the price. You're on the 1 and 2 metro lines and only 2 stops (4 mins or so) to the central railway station, which brings you to the airport or around Finland. If you want to walk it's only 20 mins to the central railway station with plenty to see en route. There are also a number of trams within a 5 min walk of the hotel, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Kitchen area on the ground floor was excellent to help keep costs down from eating out and a good place to sit out rain / snow. The hotel also has a secure room for storing luggage if you have a late flight / ferry (you need a key card to access). Self check in and check out was a breeze and took less than 5 mins. We didn't interact with a single member of staff during our visit.

The location was convenient if you're arriving by train from southern Finland. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was spacious. Hotel feels new. There were lot of fruits during the breakfast.
We liked everything. Our room was cosy; it was the first time when I felt at home in a hotel. I tried SPA treatments, and they were on a good level, too. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. We came right after Christmas, and the hotel was beautifully decorated. So many things have been included, which is what to be expected from a 5-star hotel: shower cap, soft bath robes and slippers, bath salts, nice capsule coffee machine (we didn't use though). The breakfast was very nice with good selection and food quality. I particularly liked old-styled porridge with dry fruits (I didn't try such before, but I'm pretty sure it's how it tasted when the hotel was founded 137 years ago) and that tasty cappuccino was included into the price.

Everything was par excellence. The hospitality is top notch.
We were upgraded to superior room, which was a pleasant surprise.
Although not the most modern of buildings, the staff and facilities more than make up for it. Amazing spa with access straight into the Baltic Sea for a little bit of wild swimming. The staff were all really friendly and happy. They all went out of their way to make our stay really special and couldn’t have been more helpful with everything from the local bus times to hiring the e-bikes. We felt very well looked after.

Absolutely wonderful!!! Comfortable beds, a very light room. ABSOLUTELY WONDEFUL BREAKFAST!!! Do not miss it. A large park around the manor. Verys roamntic. Quiet. free parking.
Neat, clean, and modern. Although entering and exiting the hotel is fully automated, with no traditional reception, we encountered staff who maintain the space impeccably. They are kind, polite, and welcoming—they are the true highlight and greatest asset of this hotel.
A wide selection of breakfast items, beautifully arranged, served in a stately room facing the lake and the garden. The house and the adjacent buildings were furnished in a mix of styles, creating a welcoming feeling: there were 19th century rooms, early 20th century lounges, a library for guest use, and even a full armour of a knight to watch over your breakfast.
Ideally located close to the Lappeenranta fortress.
