I fell in love from the first moment and it just kept getting better and better from there ON… And now I can’t wait to go back. Spectacular design! Breathtaking views rooftop - cute infinity pool, extremely comfortable puffs there! Clean, wonderful smell! All the staff (reception, restaurant,…) very kind and correct! Perfect breakfast buffet! Truly magnificent place! Unbeatable location! I really appreciated the possibility to stay until 15:00 for an extra charge. One night is not enough! Oh and the bicycles! Gym! Haven’t tried the paddle-board - next time! And complimentary drinks! I’m sure I forgot to mention something, great, but let’s just say that I loved everything so far, no pink glasses on. ;)

"THE HOTEL HAS BEEN RENOVATED IN JANUARY 2024." Located 300 metres from Almuñécar’s Puerta del Mar Beach, Hotel Toboso Almuñécar features rooms with balconies and sea or mountain views. Location was good 15 minutes walk to playa also bars, supermarkets, restaurants and a super wholefood shop Sal y Pimimenta opposite hotel. Price was excellent as room was spotless, attractive and comfortable. Breakfast was super. Small swimming pool also good.

Hotel Estrella del Mar is just 100 metres from Motril’s Poniente Beach. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with free Wi-Fi. The rooms at the Estrella Mar feature tiled floors and simple décor. Very nice to have a receptionist check me in, rather than an impersonal lockbox. Secure parking for my motorbike too. Single room was very clean, and although not the largest, had ample room to put all my biking gear. Bathroom was clean and the shower good. The rooms very good heating system was most welcome. As this is near the hotel, the restaurants and bars nearby were all all closed for the off season. But not to worry, the hotel has restaurant was open, and was very bust at 8.30 pm. They offered a Menu del Noche, which was varied and well cooked. Breakfast was included, and was a great start to the day. The price for my room and breakfast was excellent value, and I will be back again in February. Highly recommended.

I got first a room with pipes that made some noise but they let me change my room immediately. very kind cleaning ladys and breakfast was great for a good value. You can order whatever you like from the comfort of your table, and they will bring you your freshly made omelet, tostada, croissants. Together with what you like, avocado, cheese or ham etc. any coffee or tea. Everything for only 12 euros. the view from the hotel is great and you can get even better view from on top of the mountain with a cross, which is just infront of the hotel. I will be happy to come back next Christmas again! Thanks!

My family liked the breakfSt. Parking difficult and expensive. However due to a booking error we were one night short but luckily after discussion the hotel were charming and managed to accommodate our booking at the arranged price. Very courteous of them and excellent customer service.

i could not believe the standard of food on offer, it certainly was a surprise too see such an assortment on offer. seafood galore and all the meats you needed. it was well nice and don't know if it's like that every week, if so were going again......

Location great - close to town centre and to the beach. The new market in Almunecar will be a great draw when it opens and the hotel is perfectly placed for that. Room had blackout curtains! Good shower pressure.
