Located at the gateway to Luxor, Al Moudira Hotel is the only palace situated on the west bank of the Nile. The domes and the patios ornate with arabesque makes up the oriental décor. The hotel felt like we were staying in Cleopatras castle. It is very unique and beautiful. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and very accommodating to all our needs. The rooms were beautiful, huge bathrooms and the bed was very comfortable. I miss this place so much already! The food was great too!!! The dining area is beautiful. Everytime we needed something, or a ride, the staff made sure we were immediately taken care of.

This is a substantial first floor 2 bedroomed apartment with balconies overlooking corn fields and the theban hills. Ahmed was a superb host who was always at hand but never imposing. He is able to arrange any excursions you may want to take and can arrange lunches and dinners if you don't want to self cater. It's a 15 minute walk to the temple and village of Medinet Habu but you can also hire a bicycle at the property. It's in the beart of the historical area with all major sites easily accessible. The facilities in the apartment are basic but adequate for all self catering needs. The beds are comfortable and the main bedroom has air conditioning, ceiling fans service the rest of the apartment. The shower pressure was excellent and hot water plentiful. I would stay here again any time and thoroughly recommend it to those who enjoy village life among the local people.

Nice view from the balconies. Quiet neighborhood. Spacious, clean, well stocked. Pillows and mattresses are okay, but not great. The family offers homemade meals which I would highly recommend. The artwork being mounted to the wall with visible tape is a little jarring.

The place was traditional and very welcoming. The owner and his family prepared delicious traditional Egyptian food for us and we had the opportunity to have a dinner with them. The location is fantastic. The room is very beautiful and cozy. We love the fact that the guesthouse is located next to the dessert where the hot air balloon will be landed on. We can see the hot air balloon right from the room's window! The view is spectacular! The host is extremely friendly and help us to arrange everything. The host can assist to book the various tourist attraction activities with a reasonable price for us which is a bonus to us. The host even bring us with his tuk tuk to show us around the town nearby, which is really awesome. This place feels like home to us! I highly recommend everyone to stay here if you wish to stay at a cozy and warm guesthouse.
