But the only thing to be aware of is that being an old building, the walls are thin and the floor boards all creak. So light sleepers be aware of this.

There was a party with fireworks in the vicinity of the hotel on the night when we arrived, which was problematic for our dog who is very afraid of the fireworks. However the hotel manager went out of her way to help us, gave us the most quiet room at the hotel and treated us with drinks in order to compensate for this unexpected situation for us. Everyone was very kind and helpful, and in the end, the dog managed to take those 15 minutes that the fireworks lasted in a very good way. Thanks!

We arrived late in the evening and had no trouble checking in, as the keys were left in a box at the entrance to the apartments. The apartments are located right in the center, near the town hall, and less than a 10-minute walk from the train station in a straight line. Being in the center gives easy access to all the amenities—transportation, cafes, and attractions are all within walking distance. The entrance to the apartments is directly from the street, and they are on the ground floor, which makes you feel like part of the town. It's a pleasant experience overall.

Situated in Stokkemarke, 40 km from Middelaldercentret, Hotel Stokkegaarden's BnB & Apartments features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect for visiting sites like Lalandia and Knuthenborg. The rooms were clean, big and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Our family of 3 adults and 2 young children had a great time and we will definitely come back next time we need to stay in Lolland.
