Everything was perfect and way above our expectations. The historic buildings are wonderfully renovated, the room we got (standard) was spacious, nicely decorated, calm and facing the water. The location (in the center but a few meters away from the touristic areas) is absolutely perfect. The breakfast is really good and the restaurant (try to book in advance) is the best in the region. Above all, at all time, the staff was both professional and friendly (rare). We enjoyed every single minute of our stay and we will definitely come back - thanks a lot for everything !

We had arrived after the kitchen had closed (we also booked about 30 minutes before we arrived, the manager returned to the hotel to check us in as checkin had closed at 20 and we arrived at 2010). She then went out of her way to get us something to eat and drink and to make sure that we had good rooms to stay in. The rooms were basic but cosy and comfortable, well maintained and spotless and the shower was really nice. The blankets were a little thin (not cold though) and a bit too short for some of my companions (tall Dutch people). I am sure they would have fixed this if we had asked for help, but we didn't as we were super tired and arrived late. Breakfast was excellent and not expensive. Staff spoke both German and English. The stay was inexpensive. The theming of the hotel is Herbs and Herbology, it smelled very pleasant and felt clean, light and inviting. The surroundings were beautiful.

It was very clean with very good decor, the room was extremely comfortable and high specification. The breakfast was unbelievable, best I’ve experienced in a while, there was definitely something for everyone’s taste. And the place was spotless.
