In addition to all of the above, 200 meters away from the Hotel there is this lovely Bistro (It's closed on Thursday) Great food and if you want an extra drink you can go for it knowing that you will just have to walk back to the Hotel.

A brief visit but overall good impression given we only visited the central area on an overnight stop. Our accomodation 'Motel One' was well positioned, close to a good selection of restaurants and shops in the old town which is full of character. We enjoyed an excellent meal, probably the best of our skiing holiday at the Zum Stiefel Restaurant very near to the motel. Traditional saarland food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere.
The apartment is 2.5 km from Beckingen but it has a bakery and a pub (closes at 10 PM) at walking distance (250 m). For other shopping/restaurants you need to go to Beckingen centre or Merzig (less than 10 km). Very good location for walking routes and exploring the "Saarland".
Rural little hideaway - I grew up in the area and know the small airport nearby. This is for people who like it quiet, want to go for a walk through fields and forest and have time to meet my federal State Saarland with all it has to offer.
Totally unremarkable town in Saarland, Germany. I was there only for a reasonable hotel. Nothing of interest in this town for this traveller. No adequate meal choices (bar at the Eppelborner Hof, a pizzeria, another couple of bars). Convenient to the autobahn A1. Adequate for an overnight stop, nothing more at least for me..
Really great shopping. Fantastic areas for food and drink. Lovely Christmas market. We found the locals very friendly. Being on the French border so many signs and menus are in German and French - this lends an interesting vibe! We ate at Zum Stiefel. It's owned by the local brewery and has traditional German food but also a great selection of local Saarland specialties too.
Typical small town in Saarland that has small weekend market in square. Quiet base to use for touring region. Don't go there if you want loud evening entertainment. A few small bars with inside/outside tables.

Very well equipped and decorated apartment with all amenities. Location is very close to the center and easily accessible by car including reasonable parking. Self Checkin was easy. Beds are comfy everything is pretty modern. Good view towards the city from the nice balcony. There was ample info about the apartment where everything is and good material to explore the Saarland. A really great place to stay.
Homburg
The apartment is very clean and in a quiet location. It has everything you need to easily make it a home away from home. The host was prompt in communications and very helpful with any requests I had. The location was convenient for me, as I attended a three-day event at the University Hospital Saarland.
Fantastic restaurant with great, genuine Saarland food and Saarland beer. Extremely convenient location on the edge of the Saarland's premier party town, but also quiet. Great choice of breakfast food including a fried egg on request.
