The hotel is in the middle of wine country and the view was breathtaking. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is also very good with exceptional service. We did some hiking and a day trip to Strassbourg while there. It is also about 40 minutes from Europa Park which I highly recommend if you are traveling with children/teenagers.

The property was situated in leafy grounds, the room was luxurious, all contents of bar fridge free and replaced daily, pool was indoor with outdoor lounge area under trees, food was outstanding and the staff could not do enough for the guests, including accommodating gluten free requests.
It was gorgeous. The room was a little jewel.

Excellent 👌 We stayed here during the long weekend of the 14th July, as we live in France, and we were extremely pleased. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and you'll have amazing views of the forest from most rooms and from the pool. The pool is also great, and it was one of the things that made us choose this hotel, as we wanted to relax and enjoy the hot summer weather. The staff is 5 stars! From the reception, to the restaurant, everyone was extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. We don't speak German very well, and everyone made us feel comfortable by speaking in English with us (a special thanks to the gentleman that served us dinner both nights!). The hotel is also very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, had a lovely garden and we felt at home here. The restaurant is also amazing! Our dinner was excellent, really, with healthy, fresh and rich ingredients, but without all that nonsense new-trend cuisine. We loved it! Also, we think the hotel is a great value if you choose half-board. We think the price of the room, with everything you have access to (spa, pool, beautiful forest...), is extremely reasonable considering the quality food (and generous portions!) you get. Also, lunch/brunch is included (with salads, a lot of fresh and delicious fruit, cakes, etc), and you also have fruit and tea in a space by the pool and spa. We thought is was so generous! Overall, we were extremely pleased and we'll definitely be coming back in the future. It's German quality and German hospitality at its best! Highly, highly recommended!

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is walking distance from the Freiburg Cathedral. The room was wonderful as we stayed in a two-storied suite. The lighting could have been a bit better but other than that it was excellent including having beautiful skylights in the rooms and bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic and even had a huge nutella pumping machine! Simply delightful!

There was a gym and sauna, it had a quirky lay out as it was built on the side of a slope. buffet for main meal and breakfast not cheap but good food

It's in a location you don't expect to see a Blockhaus at but we went there for peace and quiet after going to the Rust theme parks and it was perfect.
Very nice and ample spa, sauna and pool area, excellent facilities for hotel. The restaurant at the Hutte was extremely nice - superb location and wonderful choices for dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful with hiking recommendations and ready to answer any questions.
Excellent location at the edge of the old city, very clean and comfortable rooms with all modern amenities. We liked it very much. Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable parking spot in the basement.
