Situated in Sarapiquí, 1 km from La Selva Biological Station main area, the lodge has a garden and a shared lounge at the dining hall, as well as free WiFi. Our first stop in Costa Rica. We were amazed by the abundance of birds and by the beautiful natural setting. The tour guides were excellent and we learned a lot from them. Other staff were very helpful. The food was good there as well.

En veldig bråkete by, som tilbyr lite med aktiviteter utenom shopping. Det er parker og fjellturer i omregn, men dette ligger nærmere byene rundt. I heredia er det masse folk og enda flere biler, lastebiler, mopeder og motorsykler, noe som lager ganske greit med lyd. Restauranter stenger tidlig, type 7. Dermed endte vi med å spise på pizza hut 3 ganger. God mat der da. Ville nok absolutt ikke anbefalt heredia for unge, da vi slet med å finne noen aktiviteter hvor vi ikke måtte forflytte oss langt. Sluttvis; på 2 dager møtte vi ingen som kunne engelsk.
