Hotel Monarka-Edificio is set in Popayan. The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests. We took the bus from Armenia to San Agustin and wanted to stay one night in Popayan to break up the journey. This hotel is perfectly located close to the bus station. It is a ten minute walk to the historical centre and we walked both ways in the day and at night and felt safe. Popayan is worth a stop. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt very welcome. We also got a wonderful breakfast in the morning which was included in the stay. The room was modern and very comfortable.

This is a great place near the bus station (we were transiting through Popayán by bus). The sraff were very accommodating and helpful.
