The best thing however in my opinion were the beds. I slept in a bunkbed and it was easily one of the most comfortable beds I've had in 9 months of traveling South America. Can definitely recommend!

The breakfast was fantastic. There were several options to choose from and everything was made to order. They even remember the food allergies of some of the people in our group and avoided those items. We really enjoyed the onsite spa facilities and the private jacuzzis in our suite. The live music in the evening was a nice bonus to enjoy a drink and meal on the terraza. The rooms were well appointed with luxury bath products and very comfortable bedding. We will definitely return to Hotel El Carmel.

A large open space, perfect for doing work and hanging out with friends. The rooms were really clean, comfy beds. Nice showers. The wifi worked perfect, never problems. The owner kindly cooked me some peas that I had bought from Saturday market. Very nice family and staff. Cute cat 'Mango' ;) I would definitely come back next time in Villa de Leyva :D
