Located in Oberstammheim and with MAC - Museum Art & Cars reachable within 23 km, Hotel & Restaurant Schloss Schwandegg provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. We did not know what to expect when booking a room in a castle during winter time, especially as the price was more affordable or on par with other accommodations in the region. We were given an upgrade of our room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. We received a quite big, beautifully decorated room with a very comfortable armchair, and with a bathroom a couple of steps down the hall, which was not that big of a deal, especially when you think that you are in a castle, and castles did not have toilets in the room. Also the bathroom was modern, warm, and super clean so there was absolutely no problem on that end. It is still private. The location was very good for us as we had a plan to see Schaffhausen and Rheinfall and this is just 20 min drive away. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was excellent as well as the wine which was from a winery below the hill. The hotel/restaurant staff were super kind, they really added a little extra to this wonderful experience. In the evening we enjoyed being in the courtyard, enjoying the silence and the view of/from the castle, it felt like we had it for ourselves. We would gladly come back, hopefully someday we will.

Las excursiones a los glaciares son espectaculares y valen la pena una vez se está en Zurich
Per arribar del aeroport al centre de la ciutat agafeu el tren a Zurich HB (son 12€ la parella i 3 parades i et deixa al centre de la ciutat). A peu arribeu a tota arreu! No fa falta molts dies per visitar-la! Prepareu diners perquè és una ciutat cara però fabulosa. Desde Zúrich podeu anar amb tren a Lucerna (40 min) i es genial. També podeu visitar Berna (1h) que també és molt maco. La comunicació en transport públic és perfecte. Ah! i porteu paraigua i roba d'abric.. a nosaltres ens va nevar, ploure, sol, de tot i era finals d'abril. Disfruteu de Zúrich!
Des de l'aeroport hi ha un tren que et deixa a l'estació central, en pocs minuts. Costa 6,20 CHF (uns 6 euros). Però si hi esteu 3 dies, hi ha l'opció de comprar la Zurich Card (3 dies = 48 CHF), i tens transport il·limitat per Zurich, en tren, tram, bus, "Wassertaxi" (barques que recorren el lac Zurich com un bus), entrada gratuïta a la majoria de museus, etc. Es una ciutat relativament tranquila, amb poc trànsit. No té cap monument espectacular, però és una ciutat amb encant, amb carrers estrets empedrats, cases històriques, diferents esglésies (no deixen fer fotos a l'interior!) i molts i variats museus. El casc antic és relativament petit (es fa a peu tranquilament) i aglutina la majoria de monuments. Es molt recomanable agafar el vaixell que fa la ruta circular pel llac (aprox 1 hora).Si és un dia laborable es pot visitar la fàbrica de xocolata LINDT. Hi ha diversos carrers molt comercials (Bahnhofstrasse, Rennweg, Niederdorfstrasse, ...), amb infinitat de botigues de tot tipus, tot i que a preus "suïssos". Problema: vam enganxar 2 dies festius amb les botigues tancades, i els carrers mig deserts. Però l'estació central té un centre comercial enorme, i està obert cada dia i fins molt tard. Un supermercat recomanable i a preus raonables és MIGROS.La vida és molt cara (hotel, restaurants, cafès). Un cafè en qualsevol lloc et pot costar 4 euros. Un plat de pasta et pot costar una mitjana de 20 euros. Els preus, en general, poden ser el doble que a Catalunya. Si vols veure Ferraris, Porsches, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Maseratis, Audis RS, Mercedes AMG, BMW M, etc, a patades, no cal anar a Dubai; a Zurich en veuràs molts més. Moure's per Zurich és molt fàcil, especialment amb els tramvies. La ciutat és plena de tramvies. I amb un mapa és molt fàcil orientar-se, tant a peu com amb els tramvies. Els trens són puntualíssims!!!
Zuric és una ciutat molt agradable. S'hi poden fer moltes coses (visitar museus, fer compres, passejar) i a més gràcies al magnífic sistema suís de transport públic és un "hub" perfecte per a visitar el país (en tres hores pots arribar al punt més allunyat; molts llocs interessants es troben a poc més d'una hora). Desgraciadament a Zuric els restaurants són cars. A Suissa hi ha però llocs com ara MIGROS on es pot menjar en un bufet a preus raonables i també es pot comprar menjar per emportar.
És una ciutat molt neta i ordenada, on et pots desplaçar fàcilment amb transport públic. El transport, sobretot tramvies, et porten a gairebé qualsevol punt de la ciutat, són molt fàcils d'utilitzar i són molt puntuals. Els restaurants són, en general, molt, molt cars. Vam estar amb la meva filla de 16 anys i varem gaudir molt de la visita al museu Kunsthaus. És molt interessant la targeta Zurich Card 72 hours, donat que, a part d'incloure transport públic il·limitat, hi ha entrada gratuita i/o importants descomptes a museus i uns descomptes més petits en algunes botigues.
Moure's per Zuric és molt fàcil pots anar a tots els llocs a peu i encara que era una ciutat que ja coneixiem, vam aprofitar per gaudir del cap d'any que es celebra al carrer amb focs d'artifici i música per tothom.
Zurich es una ciudad de postal, en 2 o 3 días las tienes más que vista si solo vas a visitar el centro y los puntos clave. Si quieres visitar otras ciudades o lugares de Suiza ya necesitarías mas dias. La ciudad es muy agradable para pasear, limpia y tranquila, el tranvía es muy agradable, la ciudad es cara, pero eso no es nuevo si se visita Suiza, aconsejo probar la fondue con un buen vino.
Com a ciutat que és, Zuric els diumenges no té la activitat que pot tenir la resta de dies. Per tant, és recomenable gaudir-ne durant la resta de dies, no el diumenge.
El més turístic i el que té més encant de la ciutat de Zurich amb dos dies n'hi ha suficient. Zurich no és una de les ciutats que més m'ha agradat. El que recomanaria es ser-hi uns dies més, llogar un cotxe i recorrer els voltants tipus Lucerna, Interlaken i Berna. És aquí on veus l'encant del país.
Apartaments molt nous, en molt bona situació ja que en 15 minuts estàs a la estació central en tren o em bus, cuina i bany excel.lents, ben equipat. Personal molt atent que t'ajuda i et resol els dubtes, gràcies en especial a la Isabella. Nosaltres si repetim a Zurich, hi tornarem segur.
Altstetten, Zuric
Apartament molt funcional, ampli i modern a prop del centre de Zurich. Hi ha la parada de bus just al davant, en menys de 20 minuts ets al centre. Les instal·lacions de la cuina estan molt bé, només hi faltaria una torradora. Valoro molt positivament que hi hagi rentadora i cafetera.

Bona relació qualitat-preu. És una "habitació-sala" gran d'hotel amb rebedor, bany i mini-cuineta. Molt silenciós. Matalàs molt còmode. Net. Bona comunicació en transport públic a l’estació Zurich HB, Bahnhofpl (7minuts) i al Districte 1-centre ciutat (13-15 minuts).
Un hotel sense pretensions, però més que correcte i molt net. Les noies de recepció que ens van atendre eren molts amables i servicials. Una zona molt tranquil.la a uns 10 minuts caminant del centre. Aconsellaria aquest hotel a qualsevol que viatgés a Zúric.

Teniam habitacio familiar. 4 persones. La habitació era prou gran per tots. Lavabo espaiós. A 10 minuts caminant de la zona comercial i 20 mimuts de la catedral. Bona relacio calitat-preu per ser Zurich.
Es un hotel molt maco, molt aprop del llac. El personal és molt amable i l'habitació era molt neta i acollidora. Ens ha encantat al igual que la ciutat de Zurich.

La tranquil•litat i les vistes. Vam fer un àpat al restaurant i va ser molt bo. Disposa d’aparcament cobert.
Although our stay was short we enjoyed it very much. There was an ease to it I appreciated. Our room had a beautiful view on the lake and the hotel is close to a small lovely park. We enjoyed the desserts and tea in the afternoon from the outside garden, which I could bring to our room. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty. The bathroom has excellent toiletries (Grown Alchemist) and their home made bath salts.

Only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer! This hotel is only a short walk from the station and basically in the middle of the city. Close to everything you need in Zurich. The room wasn’t too small and the high windows and ceilings made it feel very spacious. The staff were great and would defiantly stay here again.
