Comfortable bed, the stone in the shower, view from our room; restaurant next door, same building. Their staff was friendly and helpful. My Italian is entry level in speech, better in listening and reading, German is worse. The staff was patient and we made it work and had fun! Room rate comes with a bus pass for Ticino during the stay and was easy to use. The property and surrounding area was beautiful and easy to get to hikes, bike trails etc on foot within minutes. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay here!

14 miles from Piazza Grande Locarno in Brione, MyVerzasca Resort Casa Rossa features accommodations with access to a hot spring bath, hot tub, and open-air bath. The apartment was super nice: tastefully furnished and very pleasant to spend a rainy day in, lighting the fire in the fireplace gave our stay an additional charm. The kitchen is fully equipped, you can find there a small oven and toaster amongst other things. The jacuzzi has a beautiful view on the mountains and we used it daily. The resort is situated in a very good spot: 2,5h walk to Sonogno one way (if you plan to use a bus on your way back, keep in mind the gap between 12:20 and 14:50) and 2h walk to Ponte dei Salti the other way - both directions are must see, amazing views. The restaurant right next to the resort serves very good meals and tasty breakfasts - highly recommend to check it out.

Location and view was amazing. Breakfast was elegantly prepared by the owners. The grape jelly served at breakfast was produced by the host from grapes grown on the property. Very delicious! And the neighbors plums which were served to us on a cake upon arrival was a really nice delicious surprise.

The location in Sonogno was great, it was clean and the staff was very nice. This is more like a pension in the mountains with the toilet and shower in the hall. This is stated in the description so I was not surprised. I do feel it is overpriced for the accommodations. The breakfast was bread, butter and jam…that’s it. However I did enjoy the cappuccino’s.
Beautiful historic house which has been renovated up to modern standards. It is an absolute bijou and the hosts very very forthcoming and welcoming. The hosts even provided a baby chair and a travel bed for our baby. We loved it every minute spent in this house. Thank you very much!
Great house in a great location! The valley around is beautiful and inviting, the house has a very homely feeling and is wonderfully decorated, the kitchen very well equipped (including a fondue set!). The proximity to the road is a very minor nuisance as it is almost at the end of the valley and there is very little traffic. Instead, the sounds you get are the river just below you and the cowbells in the distance. Great hosts, a real gem. Highly recommended!
