The space was as described in the listing and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked. The shower had great water pressure and the sheets were very soft. The air conditioning worked really well too. If I could give this place 11/10 I would do. Rosemary who owns the place is the kindest person. She helped us so much and picked us up and dropped us off again at the bus station which was really appreciated in the heat. Rose also gave us a contact for the Lamanai tour too which was very enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Orange Walk.

Excellent location - close to the bus station, good cafes (try Maria's Bakeshop - fantastic chai, frappuccinos, huge quesadillas, and Maria is the nicest person :) ), supermarkets, the river. If you're a runner, there are good streets for running near the hostel - easily did a nice 11km. Excellent kitchen, and gorgeous pet dogs.

Chan Chich Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Gallon Jug. This 5-star resort offers room service, a concierge service and free WiFi. The grounds are lovely. The farm tour was very informative. The guide was knowledgeable and had very good communication skills. Nice to have the pool. I left a shawl at the lodge and they kindly gave it to a driver who was going to San Ignacio for me to pick up. We appreciate the efforts the Bowen family seem to be making toward conservation. The Gallon Jug coffee and bottled sauces (made on-farm) are the best and offered for very reasonable prices on-site.
