Situated in Paraty, 1.4 km from Praia do Cais, Casa Arte Cabore features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. Everything was amazing, very clean, quiet, amazing breakfast (fresh juice, fruits, eggs, quiche,…) But most of all, the hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, booking a tour, earlier breakfast,… Very cute cats were a plus :)

Conveniently located in the Cabore district of Paraty, Pousada Aquino Mar is set 1.3 km from Jabaquara Beach, 1.9 km from Praia do Cais and 2 km from Pontal Beach. This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

Set in Paraty, less than 1 km from Jabaquara Beach, Pousada Villa Verano offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The owners were very friendly and very helpfull. Would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of mountain, Villa Tiê Paraty is located in Paraty, 300 metres from Jabaquara Beach. Beautiful traditional guesthouse in a little garden oasis where you can relax and enjoy beautiful views of the garden/and or mountains. The property is super clean, and perfectly managed by staff who go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is a variety of tropical fruit, pastries, and scrambled eggs.

Pousada Frezza Mergulho has a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and restaurant in Praia Vermelha. Featuring a bar, the property is located within a few steps of Vermelha Beach. Good location on a small calm beach. Helpful staff. Modern A/C.

Situated in Abraão, 70 metres from Abraao Beach, Pousada Aquarela do Mar features air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi. Everything, the room was really cozy and smelling amazing every day, very fresh smell, very clean all the facilities very clean and organised. staffs very courteous and polite showing up very helpful with informations about the island and recommendations of nice restaurants.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Pousada Costa Verde is situated in Abraão, 400 metres from Abraao Beach. We had a perfect experience. The hotel is located in a more quite and authentic part of the small village of Abrãao, while only being a few minute walking distant from the beach and all restaurants/bars. Our room was very clean and had all the needed equipment. The best part of our stay was the friendliness and hospitality of the owner Ricardo. He gave us good advice on everything hiking, beaches and gastronomy. Finally he even organized the shipping of a headphone I forgot in the room back to my flat in Rio, which I received the same day! I strongly recommend anyone who visits Ilha grande to stay in this wonderful place.

Set in Praia de Araçatiba, Mar da Lua provides an outdoor swimming pool. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge and a bar. We liked everything. We chose this place, because the rating for the location was 9.7 and for sure it is. It is amazingly beautiful place - beautiful mountains, peaceful ocean, cozy rooms with seashells used as part of the decoration everywhere. The boat trip that one can purchase from the Mar da Lua takes you to the true paradise beaches. We also chose the place as other guest were writing only great reviews about Mar da Lua owner Francisco. And for sure he deserved all of them - we wanted to organize one very special event for us there and he even gave a contact of his sister who helped to organize it for us. We are so grateful that Francisco allowed us to have a small family wedding there and so grateful to his sister who made it happen.
