Location directly on the ocean in a 300 year old restored historic building. Spacious accommodation Excellent restaurant attached. Private courtyard with direct view of the ocean, with beautiful sunsets. Wonderful staff, owners, as well as anyone else we met on the island. Very safe, with no crime that I am aware of. Sybolt and Marlies arranged airport pick up and had rental car delivered next day. Walking distance to many historical landmarks. No crowds anywhere on the island. Overall, wonderful stay.

Pleasant outlook from the room to the pool. Nice décor/feel. Good sized room. Fantastic owner (very accommodating, helpful and responsive) and manager. Enough kitchen supplies to cook. Laundry onsite. Well maintained grounds. Very close to a mini market and bakery. Great value for money.

Chef DWAYNE was SUPER and the highlight of the Resort, as I am a pescetarian (only eat fish) and he took care of me and came to me for lunch and dinner to ask me what I would like to eat. His cooking, flavours and style including plating is really amazing.

This is a first rate B & B and we would certainly stay there again. The room is large and spotlessly clean as is the bathroom. The Inn is set amidst a tropical garden tended with loving care. We had an early dive booked on our first day and since with would not be able to take advantage of the included breakfast (amazing buffet by the way!) Marie prepared us coffee and sandwiches to take with us. If Statia is your destination then Papaya Inn is for you.

Featuring free WiFi, Statia Lodge is an eco-lodge offers pet-friendly accommodation in Oranjestad. The property is set in a garden surrounded by nature and the ocean. Free parking is available on... Beautiful place at sea in a quiet surrounding. Manager Tony and his wife welkomed us warmly and take very good care of us. Accomodation was good and clean. Breakfast was tastefull. I would definitely go back!
