Cleythil is located outside Maldegem, a 20-minute drive from historic Bruges and 30 minutes' drive from Ghent and the North Sea beach. The garden offers views of the Drongengoed forests and fields. Rooms are spacious and cosy, very-well insulated against cold and noise. Exceedingly friendly staff greeted us and helped with our requests. Breakfast buffet definitely exceeded the expectations. 20-25 minutes drive to Brugge center. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Shamon is a unique boutique hotel exuding the atmosphere and elegance of Art Nouveau style. Designed by the renowned architect/decorator P. Cauchie, the protected building is a true gem. The building is beautiful and the staff exceptional.

Gare 55 is a converted railway station. The conversion is exceptional, with fine attention to detail and highest quality fittings used throughout. We were impressed and commented to each other about a number of the smart design choices. Although the room is quite small (due to constraints of fitting into the existing station building), the space has been used in the most efficient way possible. Clearly the main market is for single business travellers looking for a self-contained flat for stays of a week or longer, but it works very well for a couple. Bed was very comfortable and room lacked nothing. There is a large shared kitchen area with indoor and outdoor seating. This provided a nice place to sit in the evening as well as the possibility of preparing one's own meals. The hosts were warm and welcoming. Location is great for day trips to Gent (10 Km from the nearest P+R with tram access to city centre).

This cosy, recently renovated family hotel is set in the wonderful, scenic region of Meetjesland, just outside Maldegem. Loved the small scale hotel. It’s clean, the beds are great. The breakfast was lovely. It’s close to both Gent (20 mins) and Antwerp (35 mins) by car. Highly recommendable❤️

Hotel Prelude is located near Knesselare on the E40/N44 motorway, a 25-minute drive from historic Bruges and a 30 minutes' drive from Ghent and the North Sea beach. Great place.. we stayed only one night but we sure enjoyed it.. very clean and well equipped.. very good breakfast.. value for money.. we surely recommend it
