Located in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Cooinda Lodge Kakadu offers air-conditioned rooms with a private courtyard. Guests enjoy access to outdoor swimming pools and a restaurant. It has been very attractively laid out with mature tropical trees and well kept lawns and pathways. The accommodation units are nicely spaced for privacy and offer a range of choices. We stayed in an ensuite lodge which was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a sitting out area. Only it was too hot for us! The restaurant is excellent with a good selection of delicious food. The coffee is very good also. I enjoyed the effort which had been made to incorporate Aussie native fruit and products into specially created meals. Quite delicious and showed that the chef was both creative and innovative. The staff we met with were all incredibly polite and friendly. They looked as they though they enjoyed their job and were happy to be there. They couldn’t do enough for us. All in all, a really well run place to stay and definitely worth paying a visit for the feel good factor.

Situated alongside the Katherine River and Nitmiluk Gorge, Cicada Lodge boasts an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. This lodge is very expensive but worth every cent. We were welcomed at 12:30 by Henry who gave us immediate access to our room. This was huge with a lovely bathroom and small veranda overlooking bush. Completely private and peaceful. In the evening we watched the winter solstice sunset whilst enjoying complimentary drinks and canopies. A three course dinner followed which was excellent.

Featuring a garden, saltwater pool and garden views, Katherine Farmstay Caravan Park is located in Katherine. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. Everything was great. We didn't expect that the cabin room was spacious and we love the cozy interior, fully functional and tidy. The bed and everything was just perfect and plus the camp kitchen equipement looks new. We enjoyed the farm animal encounter and the pool. Plus there's a river next to it if you're keen to explore. Love love it!

Almost Off Grid Tranquillity is a recently renovated guest house in Katherine, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. I really loved the beautiful gardens. Billy was very informative about all the unique plants.

Set in Katherine, Gorge View Bush Retreat: Katherine NT offers a pool with a view. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Just had a lovely relaxed feeling. Kate made us feel welcome on her arrival. The sunset deck and star gazing was fantastic, easy to walk too we didn't think it was necessary to take the car but can understand that walking back in the dark might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Featuring a year-round outdoor pool, BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Katherine in Katherine provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The park was so clean and peaceful and just next to the Katherine river. Amazing when you have a dog like us.
