Located 250 metres from the Hochkar Ski Area, JUFA Hotel Hochkar offers a spa area with a sauna, and a steam bath, a restaurant, and a ski storage room with a ski boot dryer. It's a nice hotel in the middle of nature, close to many hiking routes. Very friendly staff. Great offering of sport infrastructure. Good breakfast.

Located in picturesque scenery at the foot of the Hochkar Mountain, Hotel Fahrnberger offers a restaurant, a spa area, a bathing pond and Ayurveda treatments in Lassing, 8 km from Göstling's centre. We have already visited the region several times but without having an accommodation there. This time we chose a hotel just in the valley, where all interesting places are located around within 10 km. We were attracted by the Hochkar mountain and both the Wasserlochklamm and the Gams bei Hieflau waterfalls. The Fahrnberger hotel is a nice building already from outside and a reasonably big parking is located in front of the building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although we do not speak German (they also fluently speak English). We were accommodated in a nice, separate building near the main hotel building. We like the style how the hotel is equipped: it is a local Austrian natural design but providing the maximum comfort. We felt like we were on our honeymoon there. In the evening we enjoyed a great Riesling white wine in the hotel lounge. The four poster bed, located in our big and amazing room, provided a very pleasant environment in the night. The bathroom with a shower was also big and comfortable. The toilet was in a separate room. In the morning we have a nice mountain view from the window of our room. The breakfast was very tasty and we also enjoyed sitting places in front of the hotel to absorb the atmosphere of the Alps mountains. We left the hotel totally satisfied and the price for the accommodation seems to us very adequate. For sure, we plan to return there in the future.

The house located at a really nice place, with a beautiful view to the village and the forest. It was extremely clean and comfortable, very well equipped with free parking place. The owners were really helpful and kind.

Surrounded by the Göstling Alps, the family-run Alpenhotel Ensmann is located at the foot of the Hochkar Mountain in the southwestern part of Lower Austria. An enchanting traditional alpine-style hotel, run by the same family since its opening. The hotel exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The breakfast offered a great selection, and the traditional dinners served at the in-house restaurant really added to the authentic alpine experience. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying the brand new sauna, a fantastic way to unwind after a day of hiking. We also had tons of fun trying out the German-style bowling (kegelbahn) in the basement - a unique and entertaining addition to the hotel's amenities. The hotel is perfectly located for anyone looking to explore the stunning surrounding mountains. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a blend of charming tradition, warm hospitality, and modern comforts.
