In the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district of Berlin, close to East Side Gallery, Locke at East Side Gallery features a fitness centre and a washing machine. Our first stay at Locke at East Side came with high hopes—loads of positive reviews, beautiful photos online—and thankfully, it lived up to the hype. We only stayed a couple of days, but it left a great impression. The front desk team was fantastic—super friendly and helpful. They let us check in early, which was a lifesaver after a long trip with heavy bags. They gave us the full rundown, from café hours to a quick intro to the area, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The design is spot-on: modern but cozy. The café overlooks the water, and the hotel’s location right in the East Side Gallery area adds this iconic Berlin vibe to the whole experience. Plus, being so close to Ostbahnhof is a huge bonus for getting around. Our studio room was clean, stylish, and well-equipped. We actually looked forward to coming back each evening. The little balcony quickly became our favorite morning coffee spot (thanks for the French press, Locke), with a nice view over the water. The wood and concrete mix in the room struck a perfect balance between warmth and urban style without trying too hard. Next time, we’ll probably go for a river-view room just to mix it up. Honestly, they nailed it. It was private, comfortable, and not at all pretentious. None of that stiff, ‘too cool for comfort’ vibe some hotels go for. Just a relaxed, thoughtful place that made us feel right at home. Locke at East Side—definitely somewhere we’d come back to.

Directly beside the Tiefer See lake in Potsdam, these modern apartments offer kitchens with dishwashers, free WiFi and washing/drying machines. Each apartment also features a private balcony. The location was amazing and beautiful. The space was incredible, as was the staff. The fresh sandwiches and coffee in the cafe were delicious, especially the Brie one on a croissant.

Along with free WiFi, the 3 star superior Hotel Nikolai Residence offers rooms in an extremely central location just a 10-minute walk from Alexanderplatz Square. On the shores of Lake Gabelsee, this 3-star-Superior hotel features bright rooms with views of the surrounding Brandenburg countryside. It is less than a 15-minute walk from the centre of Falkenhagen.... Spacious room and beautiful bathroom. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Not to mention, this hotel is A LOT for this value. The location is very convenient as well. Away from the city, but still close to everything. Łomza is just a couple km away and a day trip to Warsaw is doable as well.
