Solo traveler; the Masaya team does a great job w activities, chill music, places to be solo and place to be w others, communal later dinners, and just very cheerful folks who take care of the lodge, the food, and the folks to a recognizable degree. What a great place! Ideal location- step out the door into the pedestrian zone. I stayed in a large, private room with 2 King beds, with bathroom and A/C. Bed very comfy. Very clean! A large bathroom sink; I appreciated having a fridge...all the coffee I could drink, and hot water for tea (at the reception). The room was very quiet overall - I did not need earplugs! (there will always be a certain level of noise anywhere you stay in Latin/South America in my experience). The receptionist was always "a pendiente". Highly recommend!

Really beautiful architecture and decor, lovely garden area, and cool upstairs jacuzzi. The room was nice, the beds (and particularly pillows) were extremely comfortable. The shower was nice and the room was very clean. The location is also great, very close to the hustle and bustle but far enough away that there isn't any noise. 10 minute walk to the local beach, which is really a great place to swim and relax. The staff was absolutely wonderful and so kind to us, very helpful! The breakfast was divine!!!

Amazing location, they do have Rodadero Near and also a store where to buy snacks

If you want to chill this is a perfect place. We had a whole beach to ourselfs. They have a little restaurant but still could be good to do some shopping before going. There is not much nearby. 20 minutes walk along the beach and you reach several restaurants

Casa Gaitana - Alma Hotels er frábærlega staðsett í Santa Marta og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi, útisundlaug, ókeypis WiFi og verönd. This is a small and very old and charming hotel, located half a block away from the street that comes alive at night with restaurants and street musicians. Breakfasts were delicious.
