Quick search in the booking.com app revealed most of the local properties were unavailable too, so she asked around and found an available room for us.

Gästezimmer Rolea ligger i Dürnstein, en kort bit från Dürnstein Castle och 28 km från Herzogenburg Monastery, i ett område där man kan ägna sig åt cykling. Lovely stay, very modern looking and comfortable. The rooms had balcony which we really enjoyed. And not to mention AC which was a godsend considering how hot the temperatures were. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lots of options to choose from and homemade cakes and brownies made by Mrs Rolea which were delicious. The stay was very close to town and restaurants / wine tasting places, and Durnstein Castle was within a short hike distance, could see it from the balcony (altough we didn't have time to visit). Perfectly pleased with the accommodation, couldn't have asked for more.

Prices for these goods were more than fair. Also in good location and quiet at night. We would have stayed longer. Our only bad luck was that we were there on days when their Heuriger wasn't open - we had the impression that their Heuriger must also be excellent ...
