Great property, definitely recommend finding it during the day time. We read the comments not to find it at night, but ended up getting over there at night anyway. A little bit spooky but we still found our way. The house is amazing, such a beautiful property I have nothing negative to say. I was initially confused about if it was a private room and indeed it was. We had our own private apartment. We could hear the other room that was occupied by a family but it didn’t bother us one bit. We still felt secluded and like we had our own privacy. I only stayed for one night but wish I could’ve stayed longer. Would love to stay here again!

It is a very unique place to stay. Completely off the grid, private and beautiful. Only 20 minutes to the entrance of volcano national park! Ben was kind and helpful in getting the WiFi working. This place has a very outdoorsy vibe to it so that must be your jam.

We had a lovely stay on the second floor of Jacob's house overlooking his garden. This was great because there were mosquitos on the ground level and we hardly got any bites when we were on the balcony. We probably should have checked in first before going to the grocery store as he had the basics available in the kitchen, pantry and fridge. We felt like we were in our own home, which is how we like to vacation. Jacob even helped us with cutting open the 4 coconuts we had bought. And the laundry machines were an added plus! We also liked that he was eco-conscious!

Well, we really liked the pigs but am sure the hosts did not appreciate their rooting damage overnight.

We loved the location of the property! The view is epic and you can sit outside and look over the ocean for hours. It’s a really wonderful and peaceful place to destress. The owners are absolutely lovely. And when you arrive, you will be greeted by the happiest greeters, which made the stay even better.
Excellent breakfast, magnificent location if you want to get away from the daily grind. Raven and Mark are outstanding hosts and will go out of their way to ensure their guests get the perfect holiday. Raven has a million stories to tell, and Mark helped us understand the local customs with great insights in living on the island.
this is not a new hotel and is perfectly clean but the location is just incredible. very beautiful. i will definitely come back to this place and recommend it to friends
Staying with Chris is like staying with family. Everything is very homey and welcoming. Chris was incredible about showing us all around town and introducing us to some amazing people and activities in the area. I would 100% recommend this place for your next vacation on the Big Island!
It was comfortable and friendly. The room was quiet with a good bed and shower, just duenersyrs from the main living area.
We enjoyed the kitchen and deck.
Location is great, easy to find, close to beaches, farmers market, hot springs and yoga/dance opportunities.

Embarrassingly Moe had to personally pick me up because I cant find anything right under my nose including his place. I tip my hat to him and his supreme hospitality and kindness. The only one shortcoming/ fault is that the area is densly populated with feral dogs which are part/parcel with the island's just like the feral cat's which you can't get around as they're a staple of the island's..The latter shouldn't/ doesn't detract from my otherwise favorable review.....
we loved our stay and enjoyed our time in the hilo area. the location is beautiful with a lovely yard and pool area. the 3 dogs are also a big plus and were loads of fun to have around. they were so accommodating and after forgetting something in our room they had it sent to our next destination(different island!)
