Spotless. Hosts met us in driveway with umbrellas as there was a torrential downpour. Perfect little apartment for a family of 3 (or 4) with extra bed in the kitchen. Lidija made us a cake and dried out clothes in her drier. Told us all about nearby hikes. Lovely hosts. Comfy beds. Cozy and in a beautiful spot in the mountains for hiking.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! We loved the beautiful setting and the cottage was spacious and cozy. Dinner was a special treat- not only was everything delicious, it felt we felt like we were truly guests of the family. And we really appreciated the conversations we had with the property owners (and all of their advice). They’re some of the nicest people we have ever met. We wish we had planned to stay longer to have more time to relax and enjoy the scenery and explore the area. If we are lucky enough to travel to Slovenia again, we will definitely go back!

I cannot say enough about our hosts! They were so lovely, going way out of their way to make us feel special and comfortable, and offering lots of delicious treats. I travel a lot for work, and this gives me the opportunity to take my family on a number of trips. I have stayed in places all over North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. So I can say with authority, that this place is INCREDIBLE. Don't pay attention to the photos, they do not do justice to the stunning views. Any direction you look, you will see a gorgeous panorama. Sort of like what you see in the opening of "The sound of music" but even more impressive.
Milena is a wonderful host, providing the best hospitality that I have experienced from anyone anywhere. On arrival, she provided a present because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The cottage has 3 different homemade schnapps and 4-6 jars of homemade tea with herbs sourced from her garden. Because we arrived on a national holiday, and no shops were open, she brought us milk, local cheese, bread, pasta, and tomato sauce. The kitchen already had coffee, so we were set for our stay. Then, on our last night, she and her daughter came over and brought us a traditional Slovenian dessert, homemade and delicious. I believe that ricotta in the dessert came from her husband's cows.
Although booking.com says the cottage is in Kobarid, it is actually on top of a hill in the mountain town of Dreznica. It's a quiet town nestled in a beautiful valley, and only a short drive to Kobarid which is the base for a number of activities in the Soca River (one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen). We didn't explore restaurants in the region during our stay, but it looked like there were many with good food and wine.
Aside from all this, the house was spotless, and the outdoor area has a wonderful picnic table, 2 anti-gravity lounge chairs, 2 hammocks, and a swing. What more could you ask for? My only regret is that we were only there for two nights. I could have stayed for a month.

Marie is a great host. She knows a lot about interesting things to do and see in the area. All of her recommendations were great. The room was cute and full of personality. There is a patio that overlooks the garden and was a nice place to relax in the evening. The location is a good spot in town. The breakfast was very filling and a reasonable price. If I find myself in the area for some reason, I will definitely stay there again.

Great appartment in the center of Kobarid, our dog was more than welcome and the host was super friendly. It’s a great location to visit all the natural beauties. Appartment is really clean and spacious and the kitchen is equipped with all the things you need for cooking (salt, oil, vinegar, etc…). I recommend this stay!
Great location, with a friendly host who was easy to communicate with. We brought a pet, and it was very manageable. The apartment was much more spacious apartment than anticipated, and would absolutely return for another stay.
Very friendly host. Outdoor activities are nearby. 20 min. walk and you can reach the next village with restaurants. The apartment "Petra" was big enough for two people and a big dog.
Very modern and very clean, unusual layout but it works well. Shared bathrooms never felt too busy and were really well equipped. Washing machine free to use which was a huge pro. Pizza is also really good. Friendly staff. Resident cat Filip adds a bonus charm to the place!
