Lovely hotel, the receptionist Chiara was super helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay even better. Parking is out front, and they had bus passes for us to get back and forth into town. Breakfast was good and they have an honesty bar which is cool, even better was the honesty coffee machine and you can use the machine when you want in the afternoons. it was such a fantastic place to stay, would stay again.

Excellent location, comfortable rooms with great views. Rooms were made up daily (we didn’t need daily cleaning). The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Especially the gentleman with the glasses who checked us in. I messaged him via WhatsApp asking if we could get a dinner reservation for my family of 11 people and he said “of course, no problem.”
They informed us of where we could rent skis (with a discount), gave us bus passes, and told us we could use the wellness spa/pool (a short walk from the hotel) for free.

WOW! Simply WOW! My family travels a lot and we've stayed at Rental Properties all over the world and Chalet Berna was the best place we have ever stayed. The property is immaculate with numerous small details and touches that can't be captured in photographs. Every drawer and cabinet has built in lighting and the bathroom mirror is equipped with bluetooth and a sound system. There is so much more! The Chalet is one of luxury and comfort. It might seem small on paper, but the way the Chalet is laid out, furnished and designed, the property feels spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 with two kids ages 13 and 8. The property was built and designed by the owner Paulie who was the most generous and gracious host we have ever met. We got in late our first night and he called his brother to open his market after hours and we were able to pick up some food and wine. We enjoyed Paulie so much that we invited him over for dinner and drinks and he shared some family stories and we learned so much about the Dolomites and the culture there. He helped adjust our itinierary with some local tips. We did not want to leave and this was a place I could see myself living in for the rest of my life. It truly felt like home. The expansive deck leaves plenty of room to sit and relax with a nice bottle of wine watching the sunrise or sunset over the Dolomite mountains. The Chalet is walking distance to the Secede Gondola as well as the Gondola to Alpe Di Susi. We truly found a hidden gem with this property. Having visited Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Madeira, Tahiti, Fiji, Bahamas, and England, this Chalet ranks at the very very top. In the beginning, Paulie was our host, by the end, he was our friend. We cannot wait to return and I partly didn't want to share all the amazing things about the property in fear of it getting booked up, but Paulie's craftsmanship and warmth should be recognized and appreciated by all.

Loved the hospitality, the staff took care of things really well. Good breakfast, cappuccino. They also have a resident dog and cat which was nice after a long day of hiking. If you do not have a car, the bus stop is right in front and there are buses every thirty minutes that take you to Ortisei or in the other direction to Bolzano. The price was fair among all the other ones in the area. The Tirol guest card was included in the price so I could use the buses and trains in the area for free.
The room was new, modern and clean. There is a comfortable kitchen so and it would be nice to do a long stay. The location was excellent, easy access to cable cars as well as the town. There is a beautiful path to the town. We had a small dog and she enjoyed her walk.
This accommodation is everything I needed for my Dolomites vacation with toddler. It has a fully equipped kitchen and hence meals were never a problem. The hostess was very accommodating and hospitalble. They hotel has swings for kids which keeps them entertained for hours. The pet goats were a nice touch and you could even feed them. Overall I absolutely love this hotel. It is perfect for families. The location is amazing - 5 mins drive from Seceda cable care, 3 mins from Alp di Suisi cable car and 2 mins from downtown center.
The room is clean and spacious. The hotel is located in a quiet place. the breakfast and restaurant are awesome. Very generous hotel that makes sure you feel full for dinner and breakfast. ask for a cup of hot chocolate they give us a full pot to share. the hotel's dog is super cute and friendly.
The best Garni you can find! All staff are so nice, especially the black dog that welcomes everyone. Every morning there will be a wonderful breakfast. Location is also pretty convenient. We had such a good time here!
We loved our stay at Chalet Hotel Hartmann. Thanks again to Alex for the great recommendations of hikes and his tips to go visit a fishing lake nearby. The hotel is peaceful, cozy, functional, clean, pet friendly, great location.. just wonderful! You can easily walk to town and do a lot of what the area has to offer by foot or by bus. We also loved the concept of the honesty bar, the amazing selection of herbal teas and the general 'at home' feel.
The breakfast was amazing! Perhaps, the best I've ever experienced in Italy! The room was large and clean.
Also, the hotel is very dog-friendly, no problem staying with your furry friend :) Thanks for hospitality!
