Beautiful peaceful location not too far from Thirenelli Temple so easily accessible by bus from Mananthavady (if using public transport).
The staff were exceptional (Suraj, Darshan and Arjun) and were always happy to help out / give advice. Loved our riverside walk with Suraj and Anjum.
I’d hoped to do the Brahmagiri trek but discovered it was going to cost 7500 rupees (that’s the rate for foreigners albeit up to 5 people for that price) and as one person, it was too expensive!
The food in the restaurant was great and reasonably priced. Need to pre-order (but not a problem for us).

We had the most wonderful stay in Kalidasa Tree House and would give it 11 out of 10 if we could. The treehouse itself is amazing - really well designed and constructed, very comfortable and with wonderful views into the surrounding forest. For bird enthusiasts it is a real treat with so many species and wonderful birdsong. The area is just beautiful - so quiet, peaceful and scenic. The treehouse is really well placed for trips out - we had a wonderful couple of visits to the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve (driven by Namshi the excellent taxi driver and guide), and we also really enjoyed our trip to Kuruva Island which is very close by, and also several local walks that Sudheesh advised us on. We want to reserve our highest praise for the hosts Sudheesh and Jodi who were the kindest most hospitable and attentive hosts you could possibly wish for. Sudheesh was always available to help and his advice was great. We also really appreciated the early morning coffee and tea he brought us on our terrace. And Jodi is just the best cook! We had the tastiest food we have had in Kerala during our 4 night stay, with lots of variety and wonderful flavours. The whole family made us feel so welcome. We recommend Kalidasa Treehouse without hesitation. We had the best time!

One of the highlights of our trip was the food—Aromal’s mother prepared the most delicious, authentic Kerala dishes that made us fall in love with the local flavors. And since we visited during Valentine’s Day, the team went above and beyond to create a beautiful, intimate dinner setup that made the evening even more special.
Every little detail was taken care of so thoughtfully, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a newfound love for Wayanad!

A lovely stay in a beautiful countryside location. The rooms are large with lovely balconies. The pool was nice and clean. The staff spend a long time sweeping the leaves every day to make sure the property is nice. The manager Ritto worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay, and showed us the local villages and took us walking to the river and organised a driving tour to the temple. A really special place. We recommend lunch in the Coffee Hut. Photos below.

Jasim was an excellent host, and provided everything we needed with a warm smile, he arranged our travel to the national park and to our next accommodation

The staff response was exceptional. Just a call and they are there at any time to provide you any assistance. The place is located in such a way where you can relax and not bothered about anything. If you need wifi and networks other than Jio then it’s not a right place. If you’re carrying a dongle along then you will enjoy the hospitality to the core. Very understanding and friendly staff. Happy with the place. The roads are awesome in Kerala! I have to mention this cuz it sucks in Karnataka 😢
Lovely location with forests all round. Lovely swimming pool. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to take me to local village festival and pick me back up. The staff could not have done more to make my stay a success.
We liked the location of the property. We also liked how the rooms/villas are situated within the property. The property is pretty big with ample space available for car parking and leisure walks in the property. The property is also surrounded by various trees. We also liked the food.
Staff was friendly,special mention to Darshan for his support in every aspect ( with tours ,food,highlights of the location).
Resort has a great pool ,food and rightly located in the middle of the forest and close proximity to Tirunelli Temple.
