We had a fantastic time in Kumily. When we arrived, we decided to find out about the trekking options available, but before we knew it, our hosts, Mojan and his wife, were there to assist us. They explained how to best book a trek, recommended the best lunch and breakfast spots, and highlighted the must-see attractions in Kumily. We embarked on a beautiful jungle trek in search of tigers. On our host's recommendation, we also took a spice garden tour, and he even came up with the great idea of getting us tickets for traditional sword fighting and dance performances.
After a long day, Mojan's wife had the most delicious black tea ready for us when we returned home. The room was spotless, our host was amazing, and Kumily is stunning. All of this made us stay not just one but eventually three nights. We will definitely return to Spicegreen Homestay, and if you have the chance, I highly recommend booking a room. We haven't had a better stay throughout our entire trip in India—definitely five stars, but I’d give it ten if I could!

I loved my stay here! Shanty made me amazing food, and really made me feel like i was home and safe. They helped me organazing my trip, and they also had a cute dog named Max and two cats named Tom and Tim. The room was nice too, and the balcony was lovely. I watched and listened to the animals both nights of my stay. Very calm and peaceful. If you’re a nature lover this place would be perfect for you.
Place is so neat and clean and the view from balcony is very beautiful with cardamom farming,some pets like duck,beautifull cat and some dogs,owner's family is very lovely,sweet and humble,i've just stayed for 1 days due to lack of time but i would like to stay more than 1 month in future ifever i have time.This is highly recommend place if you are planning to have vaccation in thekkady.
Loved the staff! So friendly, so homely, so accommodating despite it raining like cats and dogs one of the nights. It was very nice of the lady to give us complimentary jackfruit and make food for us despite the meal hours being over!
