It could have been better.
The price on Booking.com was one and the price asked by the manager was another one.
We ended up with a downgraded room for the price we paid thinking we were going to have something better.
We had to clean up the room because the floor was full of dust from termites eating the bed frame, the hand wash sink was all cracked, we were afraid of it breaking or falling apart while staying there(we could have been charged if that would had happened), the light bulb overhead the bed was missing and a real hazard, we changed the pillow covers and bedsheets ourselves and realised that pillows were really dirty, same with the mattresses.
Unfortunately this was our first impression in Indian accommodations, fair enough, we were trying low budget accommodation as well as expectations, but we never thought it was going to be that bad.
The manager/owner asked us many times to give her good reviews, even though she knew that she doesn't have the best place as well as the way the place is managed and kept.
We had to asked for towels, no soap or anything else was provided, the beds were not the comfiest, the mosquito nets only covered 2/3 of the windows among other issues we faced for 2 weeks stay. We won't make that mistake in India again; Since this experience We're booking 1 or 2 days at the time until we proof ourselves that the place is worth to stay longer.
So thank you for teaching us a good lesson about India and how things are managed in this country.

Yes, it's a new property. The guys are still finishing and trying to make it comfortable. The hostel is located just one step from the beach and cafes. The staff is very friendly.Everything is nearby here. If you are a backpacker, go for it, you'll like it.
Beautiful location, good facilities, clean as you would expect from Leela, they have great facilities and are well looked after.
The property needs air-conditioning in common areas. This is big a let down. Mosquito control is essential!
