What truly made the experience special were the owners Sidharthan & Sandhyambika, who are also artists themselves. They weren't just hosts, they were warm and engaging, and our conversations sparked a long-dormant passion within me. After five years, I found myself picking up a canvas to sketch again, and that in itself made the stay entirely worthwhile.
The location was simply perfect – everything from cafes to sightseeing spots was just a short stroll away. And to top it all off, Sandeep, a member of the staff, was courteous and always ready to help.

The breakfast was ok , not great. Individual preferences were noted and heeded. Could have served fruit at the end but were not consistent on this measure. The external ambiance was great . The foyer was 5 star in appointments. The staff was obliging and went on his motorcycle to get us beer when the shops we went to get it were closed.

Imagine a beautiful old house, renovated and decorated in the best way, filled with art, shaded by hundreds of years old raintrees, surrounded by a tropical garden with a spacious pool and a waterlily pond. So instead of lying in the middle of Fort Cochin, calm and refreshing. Then imagine the most kind and helpful staff and add some of the cutest pets you have ever met as dog Happy and cat Valentine and the animals who visit the garden as Kingfisher, Brahmin Kites, Mungos and of course crows and doves, then you have The Old Harbour Hotel!
Nice staff (who also helps me with my problem of adaptor as the plugs are type M and not UK here), perfect location (13 min walking distance from the beach and very closed to everything you need to see in Fort Cochi), very nice and clean single room with my own small balcony and bathroom, AC, nice rooftop from where you can see the cathedral and hear the birds , closed to good restaurants, fresh water to drink for free in the common area, I warmely recommand!. 🤗
Lovely old building with character and atmosphere and really friendly staff who were cheery and helpful like Beno. Sigimol prepared me delicious breakfasts in the mornings that were good value for money- fresh fruits, fresh watermelon or pineapple juice, omelette, toast, jam and honey, and coffee foe 300 INR. I made use of the pool in the afternoons which was nice. Great location too. I highly recommend this hotel.
The staff at Old Harbour Hotel were so friendly, fun, and accommodating! We were also greeted by several sweet hotel pets (cats and dogs). The interior is beautiful and our room felt like an intimate art gallery. We had dinner at the hotel and that was one of my favourite meals of our whole trip. The sweet potato fries with mint chutney was amazing. The staff also helped us tremendously by arranging a taxi to Kochi Airport when we left.
