Breakfast was creative & tasty. Selection is made from a menu the day before & brought to your table the next morning, which is efficient given the limited space of the breakfast room. Staff are friendly & eager to please, but we missed interacting with the local owners who had been on scene when we stayed there some years ago. It seems like the labor force on the island are all from somewhere else! The view is phenomenal, but it was very windy & we could not sit at the lovely pool or on our terrace to look at it. We booked a room based on its terrace with caldera view, but had to settle for looking out some small windows.

The entire house is fantastic: amazing architecture, smart organization of space and furniture; beautiful colours and good taste in everything. The area is actually very quiet; if you're looking for a nice, quiet stay, far from the noise and the crowded places, this can be the perfect choice.
We never met the owners because it's a self check-in accommodation, but they were super caring in writing us (via WhatsApp) before and during our stay. They also gave us some advice for sightseeing and public transportation.
From Akrotiri you can reach every spot on the Island in max 30-40 mins; there's a supermarket in 5 mins walking, a restaurant and a pharmacy in 2 mins walking.
There are 2 big parking areas nearby.
Note: parking outside the house is technically forbidden (there's also a sign), but you can drive up and stop for loading/unloading if you have enough space to park.
In the house you'll find the basics for cooking an easy meal.
If you keep walking up from the house, you'll reach the Venetian Castle where you can enjoy an amazing view. Entrance is free. The village around it will instantly drag you in the perfect Greek picture: white and blues houses, narrow paths and stairs, bougainvillea and cats all over the place! Note: cats are taken care of by the population, in fact you'll see a lot of food and water bowls; they're part of the community, therefore just leave them be. Same for the house cats you'll see around the property; the friendly ones will approach you for some cuddles.
If you're thinking about enjoying the sunset from the lighthouse, just be aware of the crowd you might find.
For the Italians: don't bother looking for a good espresso... But, if you find it, it won't be cheap! On the other hand, the "freddo espresso" (kind of like an iced coffee) might surprise you in a very good way.
Secluded beaches can be reached by car and on foot; just look for the non equipped/unorganized...

How to start, we loved it! Location is perfect (with a rented car), away from noisy towns, more cosy and romantic. Staff (Petya) very detail oriented, kind, helpful. We loved breakfast, caldera view from room, and the swimming pool amazing!

The view was incredible, and the properties location was far enough away from Fira that you avoided the crowds, but close enough to take a bus / transfer in. The staff at Kalestesia were extremely helpful, providing advice on restaurants and transportation. Pool area is nice, very quiet and at no point did we have to fight for a sun lounger! The thing we liked the best was the hotels dog 🤩
The location of the property is an oasis on Santorini - it’s so quiet and calm, away from the chaos of Thera & Oia. The views from the deck are second to none. We wished we could have stayed longer.
The staff are very attentive and kind. Petya in particular helped us with everything. The owners also have a Restaurant in Akrotiri, Misteli. We dined there 2 of our 3 nights we stayed, the food was THAT good.
