I booked the George Inn at 7pm on a Sunday evening of a BH weekend after getting rained off from my camping. The place was still busy with the Sunday lunch crowd and clearly the host couple had been flat out busy all day. Nevertheless they were both absolutely charming and quickly showed me a lovely comfortable room and got me a meal and a pint followed by some excellent home made Victoria sponge. Before long I was co-opted onto one of the pub quizz teams and had a great evening in front of the toasty open fire with my new friends. Lovely people who run a great little Inn.

Our favorite thing about our stay was David and Julie who were so gracious in anticipating and meeting our needs for our first visit to the UK.
From picking us up at the train station, advising us on making connections for our daily activities, adjusting our breakfast times, or getting us to the best dining spots. We felt like we were staying in the home of friends.
The clean, modern design of the guest room and bathroom which connected to a beautiful garden sitting area was more than we could have expected in an historic centuries old cottage nestled in a quiet village with a bus stop right out their doorstep connecting us to Bath and the surrounding countryside.
This former 15th-century coaching inn offers en-suite accommodations with limited parking for small cars on site.

the stand out feature was the staff. so friendly and helpful. Really went the extra mile. An EV charge point in the car park is a great facility, they should promote that on website.

We stayed in the 4 poster room which is absolutely stunning! The jacuzzi bath was lovely and you get complimentary robes and slippers which was lovely. Ample parking with no problems. Rooms, service, food and staff are amazing and never fail to disappoint!! This is our 4/5th time staying here and definitely will not be our last. What a unique building, inside is like a museum, I found myself looking at all the pieces on display.
Staff where attentive showed us around and give us a little insight before showing us to our room which was very comfortable and spacious.
Breakfast was wonderful. Location was excellent.

Staff changed us from Room 8 to Room 6, upon request, because it did smell of a dog, but that was known to us before booking that it is dog friendly. The staff there accommodated us at short notice which was greatly appreciated.
On the whole worth the the visit.
This was a last minute booking for us after a cancellation and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a great location and it seems like the rooms are an old stable loft that's been converted - which we thought was very cool! Very clean and pet friendly.

Wells is a beautiful place too: very small, lots of lovely shops, fantastic cathedral and Bishops Palace and really easy to walk around.

the location is wonderful so scenic and quiet so you can really feel the escape of being in the country.

car park was big and literally by the entrance so not far to walk with luggage.

Home from home, dog friendly, cleanliness, good standard of equipment, location was perfect for country walk into city, undisturbed tranquility. Owners were extremely welcoming.
The staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating, particularly good with my pet, and nothing was too much trouble, excellent service.
Breakfast was lovely, and meals on premises were high quality.
Will definitely return. Excellent location, close to Cathedral and town centre. Car parking.
