We arrived late at this property due to stormy weather, but Joan was there to great us with a smile and our rooms were warm and ready! Room was comfy and warm and breakfast cozy and delicious! Joan also spent time helping us plan a drive through the Cotswolds towns. She is a host who goes above and beyond to make her guests stay wonderful. Room was so clean and the shower was hot! One of our bests stays during a 12 day UK trip.

Our chalet was spacious, modern and bright with a separate lounge area. The pub on the property was cozy and the food and staff were excellent. The only downside was the spotty and weak wifi and the tv did not work. Otherwise I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location with a vintage stonewall and oak beam design with excellent bedrooms and bath shower facilities. The tea and coffee provided with biscuits was amazing along with the tasty breakfast within the pub . Will definitely use the royal oak again.

Dog friendly throughout our stay which was lovely. Silk wood access room is a good size for two people and a big dog. Good shower, excellent large towels and amenities.

The property is very well-maintained, being full of Cotswold charm. the staff were excellent, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. we were pleased to see that it is dog-friendly, with dog beds and water bowls provided in the room. The toiletries (Molton Brown) were lovely and the complimentary coffees, teas and biscuits more than adequate, even including some real milk!
We had breakfast delivered to our room and the quality of the food was outstanding.
We were looking for a dog friendly stopover on our way to Cornwall from Yorkshire. it was perfect, from the dog friendly bar with excellent food, a lovely room in a cottage dedicated to dogs, beautiful garden & amazing breakfast, the dog was even catered for. Really enjoyed our short stay and will definitely return.
Room was spacious and clean and very tasteful decor and furniture, excellent breakfast, very good evening meal and value for money. Hotel provide a bed and food/water bowls for our little dog to use (not used as we always take our pet's own doggie bed and bowls when travelling). Good parking facility at rear of hotel. Delightful small garden at rear. Have already booked a return for 2023.

Dog friendly restaurant on site. Grounds to walk the dogs. Location to Westonbirt Arboretum and the town of Tetbury. I would stay here again, I felt refreshed after our visit.
