There's nothing not to like ☺️. Chris and Tony are lovely and great hosts , full of knowledge from gretna in the war to the best places to visit and eat. The guest house was spotlessly clean , comfortable and Chris's breakfast was fabulous. The train station was an added bonus , it made it easy to enjoy an evening in Carlisle with the family. There's private parking , lovely walks and it's close to our Scottish family, so we'll definitely be staying again . Just like being at home ❤️

A beautiful location with lovely views. The drive from carlisle city was 15 minutes and it was way to find. The lady who owns it was really helpful and she welcomed us , and showed us around, she had pre heated the hot tub for us which was a real bonus.
it had been snowing but we still managed an hour or so outside. The open fire was a delight and this had been stocked up with wood for our arrival.
The cottage had been cleaned to a high standard and had all the amenities we needed. I don’t have any bad things to say about our stay. 10 out of 10 - Thank you

The room we had was separate from the main building which was absolutely fine and it was lovely and warm . Plenty of hot water at all times and housekeeping were on point . The bar on the Saturday night was lively and a bit loud but we couldn’t hear it in our room . Breakfast was lovely and staff attentive .

Such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff in this family run hotel.
The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfy. Most importantly it was warm as we were staying on the coldest night for a decade.
The breakfast was very good.

Beautiful log cabin in an amazing location, easy to find, great hikes nearby. The cabin was clean and bigger than we thought. A great getaway, a must stay for everyone!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful, set right on the river with a brilliant outdoor space. Lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable, I am usually a poor sleeper but we had a great night's sleep while we were there. We ventured into the centre and did alot of walking in the area and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Everywhere dog friendly. We would definetly return and recommend!
Cabins are beautiful, location great. We had a large area of grass at the back for our wee dog and looked right onto the river. On site cafe was amazing and so cheap!
