Breakfast was very nice good mixed breakfast to choose from. All staff were attentive. Loved the location. Would stay again. It’s a busy place. The room we had was the last one. I’d have booked a bigger one if I could.

The room was great and full of character. The pub looks stunning from outside as well as inside. The food is fabulous and the breakfast was excellent. Good choice and the chef can be seen cooking it as you wait for it.

My friend and I stayed using two rooms and both of us would have no hestlitation in returning.
Great value for money. Nicola and James made us welcome. super friendly but not "in your face". Nicole was alone in the bar and restaurant but the effort she put in you wouldn't have noticed she was by herself.
Excellent food from James, comfy cosy room, fantastic management. Also we were introduced to Duck chips, WOW!
Will be back with the family next time we are in the area.

We didn't have Breakfast as we were heading off early to get to the Grand Prix. The staff were exceptional. They were super friendly and you could tell that they had a great place in the community.
They were showing the England match in the bar, and even organised a fun competition to see if anyone could guess the full time score.
We ordered some food that we had at the bar. It was tasty, good value and arrived quickly.
We couldn't get the TV to work in the room and so we were quickly moved to another room without any problems. The room was right above the bar and so it was a little noisy, but it was clean and comfortable.

Not much else, the room was simply too small, and quality of the bed, the furnishings were absolute as cheap and basic as possible. To try and say some positive - plenty of hot water, and shower worked though I couldn’t stand up in the bath, I am only 6 ft
