I've stayed in numerous rentals across Scotland and the U.S. The Kirkmay House was probably my favorite rental. The apartment was spacious, clean, and let in a lot of natural light. It was beautiful.

The location is convenient. Ok as a basic place to stay if you don't intend to spend much time there. Kitchen & bathroom were clean & pleasantly decorated.

This hotel is the finest establishment in which we have ever had the pleasure of staying. We have been to hotels in over 50 countries and nothing compares to St. Andrews. It is a world class experience. We were greeted at the door, our luggage was taken to our room, and we were given a tour of the facility. Our room was stunning as was the view. It was luxurious and comfortable. We ate at One Under as 18 was closed this time of year. The menu was limited but our burger and fish and chips were delicious. Breakfast the next morning was spectacular. Staff members were amazing- they were a real delight to speak with and were so helpful. I cannot recommend a hotel more highly!

Perfect location, very well equipped house with lovely furnishings and decor, very close to the park for dog walks, 5 minutes from the beach, hotel for meals and drinks directly across the road and within easy driving distance of St Andrews, Anstruther etc

Importantly to our visit was the fact that there was a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.
Also liked that the property was pet friendly with a lovely small, secure back garden.
Comfortable 3 bedroom house with 2 toilets. Well equipped kitchen.
Close to local amenities, the shore, bus route and East Neuk Coastal Trail.
Dog friendly too. It was our dog's first trip to the seaside and he had so much fun on the coastal trail.
